Well After breaking the trans out out shaft and selling the Procharger and all the parts I was going to sell the car. After getting it back from getting the trans fixed I remember how much I like the car. So I decided to build a single turbo kit for it. Started it on Monday and now it is in finally going back together. I just need to complete the fuel system for it tomorrow and get it on the rollers.
My goal is 700rwhp and 700rwtq on 10 psi. I dont mean a torque spike like fast lane (no offence) and power falling rapidly after 5000rpm. It will come on fast and hard and last all the way to redline. I have built many turbo kits and looked around to see whats avalible and nothing I've seen is worth buying. My kit and fuel system will make a 1000rwhp with a built motor witch is coming soon(Next week). I will post up final install picks and Dyno Graph's as soon as it gets off the rollers.

76mm turbo
38mm wastegate
50mm blowoff
27x16x4 intercooler

turboed2000, Since your trans shaft broke due to a faulty part, please make a contribution to this thread below that I created to raise awareness of this issue's importance for a resolution from GM. Thanks.

Yes the Charger was on it. !st trip to the track. First pass it broke in the burn out box. GM did cover it but I returned it back to stock.

For someone like you, that probably wasn't too hard. What did you do about the tune your ECU likely had? I guess I should have a backup plan for when I put my s/c on.

Sorry for the off-topic Q's..

So if you did this to the V6 what gains would you estimate?
Can you do the turbo on a stock v6 or is there other parts that need to be switched out first?

Scrappy Doo 11-25-2009 02:51 PM

That's a lot of power. Nice work.

Question Turboed2000,
I notice that you have part of the fuel system bolted to the passenger side
front bumper mount. Is this where it will be permanently? If so,
you will not be putting the steel bumper back on the car? What will be supporting the whole bumper cover? Isn't it very dangerous to have all
of those fuel system components in the front of the car?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure this out.

Nice job.

Thanks for all the Questions. On a stock V-6 I would say 200rwhp gain on 91 oct.

As for the fuel system the metal bumper is back in and the fuel pump is in a diffrent location. If I wreck the car I hope it burns to the ground. Just kidding this is a Real race quality fuel cell. There is no diffrence if you have it in the back. I do have a custom cell that goes in the trunk under the carpet. There is many ways to do things but this was the way I wanted my set up.

This is a stock motor with cam and valve springs on E85. It has the stock Exhaust all the way out down to the mufflers minus the catt's. The only thing removed from the car was the washer fluid bottle and that is it. Evreything is in the factory location.

Nice work. I can't wait to see a price... if you decide to market it. I might be interested. So many decisions...Turbo or SC. This one looks promising. Keep it up.

I broke the stock axles with just a cam. I have Hendrix axles on the way for this set up.

It is the stock motor on E85 pump gas.
I can build the kit installed, dyno tuned, fuel system, and out the door in about 7 days. Pm me for the price.

Also do V-6 Camaro's. Waiting for one to come in so I can get started. If any one has one I'll give you a great price.

 E85 is like crack for turbo's they love it !

If you don't mind the extra cost and pluming, nothing is like Turbo. Free power, where is S/C draws power to make power. A good designed turbo, with good quality turbo unit can last over 100K miles.

I have always preferred turbo over SC. I'm saving now and waiting for the best turbo setup for the money to come out. Patience is the key.
