20x10 Squared wrapped in General Gmax
Hi guys/gals,
So I wanted to see your opinions on a more squared wheel size. I am looking at the factory replicas of the ZL1 and started to think. If I buy a whole set of wheels / tires, why not just get a good durable all season tire. That way I can keep my factories and but some radials on them and take her to the track. This would allow me to rotate the tires to get more millage out of them. I don't roast my tires and have only done it once after my 500mile break in and oil change. It was just a 180* at that so not even a burnout. The only thing I am concerned about is off set. Would the standard offset which is +23 be ok for all corners? I am not going to lower the car and all mods are done after tires. |
The max size for the Gmax is 275, not sure how that tire will fit on a 10. I have them and love them but another tire you could look into is the Conti DWS which range all the way up to 315 (the one's I'm swapping to for my new wheels)
Not sure on offset though that is one area that I lack knowledge big time |
Anyone know running a 20x10 +23 offset on all four corners will cause any issues or rubbing?

275 on 10" is just fine. The +23 off set will let you run up to 295/35/20 without rubbing from everything I read and that is why I went with them. I would go with 275/40 or 285/35 if I was you. Yes the front to back rotation has already paid for half the wheel cost considering I would rear out a set of rears in 14K miles.
Here is what they look like on my SS |

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Scott. |
