Demon Bu1LT's thread

I have put it off and put it off but finally started my build thread. I fell in love with the Camaro in 1995. When GM brought it back I thought it was awesome but didn't think I'd ever be able to own one. In 2011 my entire life came to a grinding halt with three heart surgeries. I felt like I was going through hell at that time. In 2012 I was medically cleared and allowed to escape hell. I came upon Demon Bu1LT at that time and decided why not partner up with him. I came into this with very little about cars and modifications. I discovered camaro5 which has been an invaluable source to me. I found The Camaros of East Texas club through this site as well, great people and great times.

I didn't take many pictures in the beginning but I have since made sure to take plenty. So with out any further delay...I give you Demon Bu1LT.

Glad to hear you survived your ordeal and were able to bounce back and get the car you fell in love with. I look forward to seeing what you have in store for it.

Good opportunity for a pic with the skyline.

Thank you for the kind words! I plan on uploading quite a few photos tonight, or at least that is the plan.

Just noticed I butchered my original quote (now corrected). Ha ha. Sorry about that! Look forward to seeing more pictures man. :coolpics:

After a ton of reading my first mod was plastidipping the wheels, bowties, badges, and taillight bezels. I know some people hate plasti dip but it has allowed me to see if I like the way something looks before permanently doing it.

After my first venture into plasti dip I decided to do my fuel door and spoiler. Like I've said before, when I started modding I didn't know a lot and was timid on taking my car apart. This is why I did my spoiler in the most difficult way possible. If I could go back in time and show myself how easy it could have been....:smm7:

The mod bug had sunk it's teeth into me now and it wasn't letting go. I got my first performance mod, CAI intake, and actually installed it myself. A huge feat for a guy that hasn't really turned a wrench under a hood before. I cleaned the engine bay when I was done. OCD engage!!!

Got rid of the suitcases underneath and added the SLP Loudmouth 1 axleback. It's nice to have buddies with a lift!!

After reading every striping thread on the forum, there is a crap ton, I loved the NS1 stripes. I used them for inspiration but changed a few things. The stripes on the roof, I widened a little and gave a slightly tapered look. I also carried the hash marks a little further back on the fenders and extended them lower a bit. Brace yourself for a photo storm!

I reapplied plasti dip to the taillight bezels and painted the engine cover and fuse box cover.

Had the chance to pick up the strut brace for a great price. Dipped it and put it on. I like the look it adds to the engine bay.

Had some of the engine bay hydrodipped. I liked the design at first but now not so much. Will be switching it up soon.
