I had a wild dea of reversing the color on my hood and having RJT stripes and CGM hood...in my head it looked really good until I actually saw one done that way...kinda glad I stuck with what I had.....

BUT here's the thing...if you like it that is the only thing that matters.

RJT does have metallic........Trust me on that one.

I've got an RJT fender in my garage and it doesn't seem to be there as much as it is on the IBM... :iono:

If you know the painter, and I think you do, flake can be added to whatever degree and size you want to any paint.

John and I will paint it for you if you want.

I like the smaller painted area up front

I've always liked PQ's scheme (no comment about borrowing from him to be made)

I was going to suggest lighter blue also, but you have "other plans"

There's a GM red from the 70's called Firethorne Red that might be what you are looking for. Eyepopping metallic

Looking good

Yeah we just have to scuff up the surface a little bit

This isn't confusing enough, let me help :D

Silver, grey, tan white, and hues just off of blue complement blue. Copper might be a nice compromise...

Gotta be careful with the 3 primary colors,(red yellow blue) lots of contrast... needs to be the right shade.

I'm thinking the accent piece needs to be less eye catching than the rest of the car??? the color change itself should be enough make you notice it... I don't want the car to look like it has Red lipstick...

Have you taken it outside and looked?

It's the main reason I mentioned that it might be too much with the IBM.

Maybe not, but it's the metalflake that made me say that.
