Questions about SPI???

Hey guys! I just picked up my 1LE and I'm already looking to do some mods. I live near Oakville, ontario. I've read a few posts saying SPI is the place to go for quality. Is this true? Good place that does good work?

Also, do they cover all types of installs? I'm terrible at DIY work. Do they do performance and cosmetic? Lowering? exhaust? Installing interior lighting? Installing splitters, diffusors? Maybe even the ACS ports?

Can anyone recommend any all in one type places that are known for their work?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Davie,

Congrats on the 1LE:thumbsup:

SPi has done 98% of the work on my car and I wish I had known about them sooner, they would have done the other 2%.

They did my engine, clutch and clutch fluid reservoir, axles, brakes, suspension (handling and lowered), replaced my SS badges, installed my pillar gauges, install my curb alert, installed my LED side marker lights, did paint work on one of my side ground effects, made custom wheel centers for custom wheels, ceramic coated my headers, and polished and painted the back side of my custom wheels. I'm sure there are some things that I missed.

It is unrealistic to expect one company to do everything from A-Z in house. The work they don't perform themselves, they have a long list of reputable companies that do it for them. There is a long list of C5 members that they have done work for including, Alanski, tpower, black67, squalo, and Urieal just to mention a few. I can't speak for everyone, but I am extremely happy with their work.

So what mods are you planning?

BATMOB1LE 05-12-2013 07:59 AM

That's perfect! I think right off the bat I want to get an exhaust on it and have it lowered.

I just didn't know where I was going to take it to have stuff like rockers and a diffusor installed. Or some ambient lighting inside. Now that I know I can pretty much rely on them For the majority of the work I'd like to do, I'm stoked!

Ill probably head over there this week and chat about it. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

I've been a member on here for years and have never heard anything bad about SPI. I've only bought my CAI from them since I've done most of my few mods myself, if I could afford it my car would be at SPI all the time.

Davie they have done everything on my car from horsepower to installing my new touch sreen nav system & and my aac halo lights.

This is great news! I'm so happy I'm so close to a place I can really trust with my car. There are so many places... It's hard to seperate the crappy places from the great ones. And I didn't want to learn the hard way!

Thanks guys!

Hi Davie
Welcome to the club.
You will not be disappointed, SPI does excellent work. They have done suspension, full exhaust, intake and cam on mine.

spi for any and everything

Davie,

Congrats on the 1LE.
I have to agree 100+% with everyone else, about SPI. :first:
The best thing is they stand behind their work, and if you have any issues, they will help you through it.

My mods:
Long tube headers
High Flow Cats
CAI

My car sounds & performs better now, then what GM produced. :happyanim:

Another satisfied SPi customer here!!

They lowered my Veronica and contracted out the powdercoating of my wheels to a local guy who did great work!

I won't hesitate to go back!

BATMOB1LE 05-12-2013 06:57 PM

That's all I needed to know! Ill be getting in touch with them this week for sure.

Has anyone had an alarm installed at SPI?

Allanski 05-14-2013 09:08 PM

Yes it's going to be quite alarming when it gets on the dyno now the parts are finally getting installed. I'm thinking about 114 db and ?? HP

monte1214 08-26-2014 11:14 AM

SPi lowered my 2010 Camaro and they also had my rims powder coated.
I see they’ve moved further West.

Anyways, I currently have a CAI and full headers and exhaust. I believe they call that “Stage 1”?

I’ve been running Hot Laps at Mosport this summer, and was wondering what their Stage 2 and Stage 3 consist of with regards to pricing and upgrades?

I've emailed them (Alain?) but wondered about guys on here?

SPI did quite a makeover on my ZL1, all the bells and whistles.

Very proactive, plenty of communication - FABULOUS results!!

Highly recommended!!

monte1214 08-28-2014 12:11 PM

What kind of "Bells and Whistles" pb?

bob2010ss 08-28-2014 06:02 PM

no one else will touch my car! SPi ONLY
even they keep moving farther and farther! LOL

BATMOB1LE 08-28-2014 08:09 PM

I'm the same way now. Since I've been to SPI the first time, I wouldn't trust my car with anyone else!
