Looks like you have a GREAT start to an awesome build.

Thank - you for serving too.

Take a look at my build thread for further ideas.

I am trying to maintain a good balance between Cosmetic, Performance, and Handling mods. The money of I have spent is broken into those 3 areas and is currently at 38%, 27% and 35% respectively.

If you should have any questions please feel free to send me a PM.

Nice car you got there :). I'm looking into the package for sways and springs, but also trying to snag a ss differential to go the 3.91 route :D. Any idea of increase torque numbers with the rear?

rtcat600man 01-19-2014 07:50 PM

Thank - you, I too was looking into the rear posi set-up from an SS. Might be next winter mod. From what I have read thou the 3.91 might be to much gear for our V6 auto. It will take ours out of some of the power band. So I concluded if I get one, I will stick with the 3.73 gearing. There are plenty of threads that talk about the gears, and increased torque, I do not remember the numbers thou.

Ventmaster 01-20-2014 03:36 PM

I'm quoting Apex-Chase here- "Swapping to 3.73 will result with an equivalent torque gain of approximately 15% or 41 lb.-ft. of torque and will raise 70 MPH cruising RPM from right at 2000 to just under 2300. Going to 3.91 will get you in the neighborhood of a 20% torque gain and put you over 2400 RPM at 70 MPH. "

He was referring to the swap for a manual V6 as well, so those numbers will differ in the automatic, but gives you an idea of what to expect.

I bought my 3.73's from Chase and I'm sure he'd take good care of, and answer any questions regarding the swap in an auto car.

Your build is sounding great OP, and springs/sways will make a big improvement in handling. IMHO you also want to add rear subframe bushing inserts in any 2010 with sporting intentions!

Yeah, I got into looking into the project. With axles, hubs, the diff, and installation it will be a few more bucks than I thought. I always wanted to pull the trigger in the Ipf supercharger, so I have been talking to them recently. It is starting to sound good :)
