Used Lamborghini Diablo or New Camaro ZL1?
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Diablo
Sorry I can't paste the picture to me email but go to the link. I realize everyone has a different opinion just wondered what Hot Rodders thought. If you had a choice between a used 2000 Lamborghini Diablo or a new ZL1 which would you choose? I am planning on getting a 2015 Camaro ZL1 but a friend is getting a Lamborghini Diablo at year end (he owned them before) and told me that is what I should get. That they really are the ultimate Sports car and draw a lot of attention, usually in a very good way. Obviously something like that is an enormous expense to upkeep (I have the funds) and only for a few weekends at a time. But still leaning heavily towards the ZL1 since you can use it everyday, no issues for 1st 100k miles under warranty and much cheaper (hate to waste money). BUT, we only live so long and it is tempting to have that type of car, Lamborghini Diablo. |
I would go for the ZL1!

Your choice.
If you want to make impression on strangers, go Diablo. If you want to make impression on real car people the ZL-1 or Z/28 is the way to go. So much behind those cars. |
Got any pics of the lambo you're looking at?

If it was a Lamborghini Gallardo then I would go for that probably, if not then ZL1 all the way.

For some reason I do find Omens to be true. I made it from investing in one a stock at $6.66. Thus I call it The Devil's stock. And, Diablo in Spanish means, Devil. Well I can use the Devil's money to buy The Devil's car.
But I also said I would not waste it but again we only live once and we cannot take it with us. Quote:

Honestly, if I was spending diablo money on a car, I would buy what's in my signature.

That's funny.
I think the Diablo would draw the crowds, once saw an average TV interview guy test drive the Diablo and he said it was the funnest thing ever, but i am still heavily leaning towards the 2015 ZL1 but will still compare the two. Maybe both? ZL1 my daily driver. Interesting. Quote:

Lambo for sure

Lambo all the way!

Lambo!

Have you factored in the cost of maintenance and insurance for both cars? My choice would be the ZL1 over the Lamborghini based on end-user maintenance as I do my own work.
Why don't you go rent one of each (if possible) for a weekend and see how you feel after driving them? I see you are in Silicon Valley and I would bet there are luxury dealerships in your area that rent such vehicles. Or at least a test drive. |
