Saw it in person. My perspective has completely changed.

So I was at papa johns here in Athens TN. I was looking out the window when i saw the only thing that would interst me as much as it did. 2 tail lights on each side, 1 reverse light on each side. I automaticly knew that what I was about to witness was CAMARO. Didnt even hesitate to get up and storm through the front door as fast as I could. When I got outside it felt like nothing I have ever felt before. I had waited so long for this moment to see this car, reach out and touch this car, and I could not believe it was here, at a papa johns parking lot. If I ever had anything negative to say about this car, its total BS now. The only word I have for this car in person is breathtaking. It was a black LS. The lines on this car are very sexy, the stance is mean. I can ensure you this is the nicest car you can buy for 22 grand. I took some pictures i will post up soon, but they arent that great. if you havent witnessed this car first hand, you are in for a treat. words cant explain how it felt. Its actually funny because i also saw a 130 thousand dollar R8 that same day, but it didnt excite me near as much as the camaro. this car is worth the waiting, headaches, and money. Camaro FTW

I saw it for the first time on Friday night at the Canadian Autoshow. There was still a crowd of people around it, after 3 years, at 8:00 pm on a Friday night, at an autoshow that had been open for over a week. They had a black LS there too, and it looked amazing. The orange and white SS/RS looked good, but I didn't like the combo. Anyway, pictures don't do the car justice. And if you aren't impressed when you see one I don't think there are many cars that will.

I know how you feel. When I first saw the silver coupe concept pictures when they first got leaked I felt let down. I wanted to like it SOOOO BAD but it did nothing for me!!! I decided that I'd just keep my mouth shut and reserve judgement until I saw a concept in the flesh. Then I saw the red concept push car at the Indiana State Fair of all places. It was surreal, changed my outlook 180 degrees. Very weird when I went back and looked at pictures it was a completely different feeling. Even the pictures looked great after that. I was SO GLAD I hadn't shared my first picture impressions.

Even the pre-production IOM RS/SS that I saw back in November was breathtaking and I couldn't even see the interior (the windows were blacked out due to the non-production interior, if you don't remember/didn't see the pictures). I absolutely cannot wait until this Camaro is roaming the streets (and living in my garage)!

Awesome I cant wait

I'll be checking it out at the Edmonton International Auto Show this weekend. I hope to get some pictures to post.

Glad you got to see it!

HPlover 02-23-2009 06:56 PM

Congrats. I have not seen one since the concept was at the DC car show. I wanted to go this year, but glad didn't. I heard you could not sit in it. I would of set it off then. Other show pics have people sitting in them.

I won't get my SS until end of year or just after Jan 1. Saving up. I would like to not see any Camaros until then. I plan to turn my head as though they dont' exist so I can save all my excitment until that day I get mine.
