Just painted my exhaust
 

Here are some pictures of my exhaust painted. I took them in my garage so its kind of hard to see them good. Im puting gills on it this week so ill take some pics then.

Looks good. I will be doing this as well. What paint did you use?

I used ACE Rust Stop Barbeque Black its says its good for 1000 degrees

Big improvement, Karnage541, doesn't make them disappear, but they sure stand out a lot less. I made mine really disappear :laugh: what all V8 A6 guys need to do.

Waste of paint on the stock mufflers. Rip em out :)

I would have put on a new exhaust already but im waiting for at least a year untill i buy one. Im trying to get the best sound out it, and i dont want to buy one and then hear another that just sounds amazing. That would make me :cry: lol

If i hear one that is god like and fits this car perfect then i might just buy it but the plan is to wait for the best.

This is such an easy, cheap (less than $15), fun, cool mod that it deserves a BUMP. I just did this to my non-Camaro and LOVE how much cleaner it now looks.

Before & After photos below. I tried to get about the same lighting conditions (failed:rolleyes:) but I did boost the contrast on the "after" photo to try and compensate for that. I also intentionally took the "after" pix from a much lower angle to help show the difference:

I wish GM could figure out how to do that at the factory.

Did you guys take the mufflers off to paint them or did you just tape the car and spray it?

Yup, it's easy. Same with blacking out the chrome trim on the GFX! :)
