Just picked up my 2s-rs tonight. Wanted it now. Could not wait to see if the z-28 was a go. Plus like someone already said, intake, exhaust, and a tune. your allset. Awesome car.

Hey all, just signed up here! loving the intelligent bickering going on here!
I will be coming into some money one day due to an Injury I suffered and the first thing I am buying is a camaro now , it might be the SLP zl575, or possibly the ZR1 dropped into a camaro, or quite possibly I might get the z28 just to have the prestige of the name plate. Here is hoping its lighter, faster, steers and brakes better then the SS, more race refined, oh and supercharged for 550 hp sounds about right too! if they don't have it made in 3 years or so, I will buy the SLP or something like it. |
notice in the picture the racing stripes are on the hood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and z 28 should be the most powerful with excellent handling and with a wopping of mustang killer for desert |
The Hennessey HPE550 was designed to be a 'carbon copy' of the plans GM has for the Z-28, so other than the badges and whatever bodywork GM finally ends up going with, you can have all the performance of a Z28 today for just your SS + $18,950 :)
You can even see how it stacks up today against the GT500 and SRT8 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwl2AQ7kwqc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-N6cwGXzJo And just for fun, let's see it's big brother, the HPE650, go up against the GT500 SuperSnake and SpeedFactory SRT8 :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoKRbBfXo1M |

SLP made a camaro that looks just like the Z28 in the photos, and has about the same power as one. Why wait? |
That SLP looks really nice but nothing like a Z28!
