69 SS 350 5 Speed 09-19-2017 07:49 AM

One of 10 dealer prepped cars means nothing unless the dealership was known for building high performance machines. (Dana, Motion, Berger, Yenko, Nickey, etc...). Unfortunately, Dale Sr's dealership was not known for that. I have a friend from Wisconsin that has a 2011 Nickey SS. It is bad assed and worth the money he paid.

Now if it was 1 of 10 Factory prepped cars that would be a different story and might be worth stupid money.

Look up the 2001 intimidator camaro. The GMMG registry has some good history on it. I'd say dale earnhardt Chevrolet has some history building and selling high performance cars

Edit: that's not to say this car is worth anywhere near what they're asking. I remember a few years ago Chevy was selling those "intimidator" SS trucks and stuff. Nothing more than some logos to charge more for. This is no different than those. The 2001 intimidator was built and some signed by dale sr. Himself before he died. Not some bullshit marketing campaign.

LOL, oh HELL no.

DRKS1D3 09-19-2017 09:34 AM

Paint and a few stickers. LOL!

samman11 09-19-2017 09:38 AM

Ahhh, nice paint and all, but nothing done to the motor! And for that price, Dale Sr. needs to have owned it and driven it. And since he died prior to its release, that didn't happen. I'd say it's worth about $50,000. To me anyway.

I like mine better, I don't care who owned it and I don't like the paint colors. Some sucker will buy it I'm sure.

For real, I can't believe they'd try to sell a car with so few Dale stickers.

Bit of a stretch. Like was said, Dale Sr. was long gone by 2010. Stock motor, right? I mean it deserves a premium but not THAT kind of premium. Maybe a Jay Leno buy? I mean, you can't buy a car like that and DD it. You have to have Leno-like money to own it, IMO.

ZED SLED 09-19-2017 11:56 AM

What is all the hubbub? I guarantee if I were to buy this car, then take it to a local dealer to trade for something else, I would be lucky if they offered $18k. It's a friggin' stock SS with some badges. I mean, I traded my 2010 SS in Dec '12 and got $25k. I should have thrown some Dale Sr. and HOF stickers on and could've at least traded even up for my '13 ZL1 vert.
