Camaro vs. Mustang
1 Attachment(s)
Here what I would do with the Mustang to compete against the powerfull design of the Camaro:
|
The tapered and frenched front blinker is pretty cool. The current Mustang looses me from behind the front fender. Everything after that is kinda... huh. imho.
|
Ooo, that's purdy! Not Camaro purdy, but that is very nice.
|
The front clip is the only change? It's a lot better than the current stang, but the rest of the car looks exactly the same bland boringness.
|
Yup...loving the front end. The rest needs some work, though.
|
Actually i love the car its clean looking, but the camaro is clean looking and mean looking,
But one thing Wheres the Door Handles????? |
I would drive that.
|
It's still the same Mustang. You could fabricate a body kit to do that. I see that you drive a 1969 Mustang, so you're probably loyal to the Mustang's styling. The truth is that the current Mustang looks great, but most of us here want to drive the Camaro because we love GM, because it really will be the best-in-class, and it looks gorgeous. Your Mustang redesign looks great, but I'd still rather have my Chevy.

That looks alot like the Shelby GT500 KR.
While I like the look, unfortunately, it appears too similar to the current Mustang, as well as the "tuner versions", and consequently, it isn't a big enough change to improve sales. :iono: Personally, I like the current styling of the Mustang. I've always said, the only Mustang I'd consider owning was the one featured in 'Bullitt', and the current Mustang is the closest interpretation of that Mustang. It'll be interesting to see what Ford does with the Mustang once the Camaro and Challenger arrive. |
I agree with Blur, your chop is nice and the car looks decent too.
My problem with it....that looks good for a top end model. What will the volume cars (V-6's and GT's) look like? They would have to look different to differentiate between the norm and the Hi-Po versions. If they don't look different, then you're back to everyone making fun of the car because of what they see on the street...i.e. the volume cars....they look the part, but in reality.... I've seen plenty of people comment on how stupid it is when someone tries to make a 4-banger or a V-6 "look fast" with scoops, vents, side skirts, exhaust, etc. So, the pic is great, the chop is a quality chop, but really, to me, this looks just like a "repainted" GT500. Maybe it's been toned down a little, but still...nothing really fresh, nothing really new, just the same old thing. Maybe you should create your own edition (wait, that's been played to death by Ford already...ummm, don't do that). Keep up the good work, chop away, obviously your skills are solid. But the Mustang is going to need a lot more than a new front bumper cover and a hood to keep up with the Camaro. Both in styling and on the road. |
i actually saw spy photos of the 2010? mustang and it actually doesnt look that different from the shelby front end. the new mustang basically looks like the shelby that is already out now. kinda weird and pointless.
|
My redisign is based on a picture from the GT500 KR. I just redisigned the front and the sidescoops. My goal was to make it meaner an more powerfull and still Mustang-like looking.
Since I am not a professional in Car design it came out quite intersting. Anyway, nothing tops my 1969 Mustang 428 Cobrajet. And my Next Car (replacing my Citroen) will be th Camaro :party0048: |
That's a cool rendering.
Based on the latest spy photos of the 2010 mule cars, here's another rendering (not mine, by the way, although the '05 is) 2010? http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...g2010black.jpg Current '05 http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...odOct07013.jpg |
Still ugly cause it's still a Mustang... :bellyroll:
