Washing and Detailing products

Ok, I looked through the forum and didn't see anything related to this.

I am new to the camaro world, just picked my girl up yesterday. I of course plan on keeping her forever. I want to make sure that I get some quality products have read about various brands on the forum related to detailing. I was wondering where everybody is getting there products in this area. Are you ordering them off of the internet or are you picking them up at local stores.

Any information would be much appreciated. Also, any places that I could find some good wash mitts and drying towels would be great as well.

congrats....I get my products from Adam's Polishes dot com. The stuff works as advertised and smells great to boot. It can be used in high heat and direct sunlight.

I second the adams.i use it on all of my vehicles and it is good and quick.i even use the buttery wax on the stripes. It can get on the rubber and just wipe it off it wont turn white.Just follow the direction for a great shine.

I just use Meguiars products that you can pick up at any Wal-mart, Target or Autozone. Works fine. If I only washed or waxed my car once in a while I'd go with the more expensive stuff, but since I wash her by hand at a minimum of once a week Meguiars works fine.

I wash mine 3 to 4 times a week sometimes more.If you get wax on any rubber parts or the stripes they will turn white.

Are you guys getting your mitts and towels at the local stores as well, like wal-mart, target, etc.?

Zaino products are the best. I used several others on her for the first few months, but michaelsmaro turned me on to Zaino and she looks amazing now that she's been clay barred and has 2 coats of zaino polish. I wash her once a week with Zaino car wash and she looks great! They are really no more expensive than the stuff at Walmart and it lasts a long time.....zaino.com

Anybody know of a local spot that has sheepskin or chenille wash mitts? I have read those are good to use and need to find some, hoping locally versus ordering.

Zaino, hands down. I only use Zaino on all my Camaros. See http://www.zaino.com. You'll never go back.

I'm a die hard Zaino fan also. I JUST got my Camaro 3 days ago, but here's some proof from my previous car. These photos were taken after a single coat of Zaino. At the time of these pics, the car was 3 and a half years old as my daily driver - on a black car that shows spider webs and any little flaw easily!

I have purchased just about all of my detailing products off of Autogeek.net. They've got great customer service and a huge selection to pick from. My favorites brands being Dodo Juice, P21s, Wheel Wax, and Rolite metal polish. I use Dodo's Banana Armour and Hard Candy on my friends Daytona Yellow '69 SS and it looks unbelievable!
I do purchase basics like white towels and Absorbers at Autozone or Target. It's also good to have a grit guard for the bottom of your wash buckets. That way all the dirt that comes off your sponge or mit stay at the bottom and not suspended. A great way to save your paint from unwanted swirls and scratches.
