2011 Buick Regal to offered as 4 cylinder only?

Please say it isn't so, that car needs the good old 3800 :(.

Yes. The 3.8L V6 is going out of production.

Regal will have the 2.4L SIDI I-4 with 182 HP from the Equinox and a 2.0L Turbocharged I-4 with 220 HP.

The 2.4L model will achieve 30 MPG highway. The turbo model will be one less at 29 MPG highway.

Turbocharged 4-cylinder. 220 HP and 258 lb. ft. of torque @ 2000-4000 RPM.

A highly responsive turbocharged four cylinder with Interactive Drive Control System (Normal/Tour/Sport modes) is wrong?

Okay. :sm0:

I don't want to start a war with you, because you are basically a typing/walking GM wiki so...

But the V6 would of sold better...

don't forget the AWD Regal GS 'concept' with the 2.8L T6

Regal GS has a upgraded version of the 2.0L Turbocharged engine with 255 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque.

I wouldn't be so sure. A V6 wouldn't be able to get near the fuel economy of the CXL Turbo. And many buyers in this segment want fuel economy along with performance.

In addition, you also need to take into consideration the weight balance of the Regal with four cylinders. Much better without a V6.

Ok you win, I hope it makes it's way into Forza3...

Will it ever have a V6?

At first early reports said that once production moved to Oshawa, a V6 would go into the Regal. That seems to have changed.

This hurts, I was hoping for the 300+ HP turbo 6 in the GS. Even a N/A LLT would be a good choice. There's no doubt if it gets 29mpg in the Camaro, it could get over 30 in the lighter Regal.

I retracted my statement 30 seconds after I posted ...

Bah... Oh well, my parents used to have a '93 Buick Regal with the good old 3800 and that thing flew!:confused0068:. I've been looking at replacing my daily driver and had hopes for the regal.
