Just a quick update, fastest was 15.2. Will get a slip up as soon as I can. I only have an iPhone, no computer to upload a pic until Tuesday at work

Hey HD, nice meeting you last week. According to dragtimes.com DA was 1842 above sea when you made the run. A bit high for Atco, the lower the better.
http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...time=8:54%20PM

Flashing means just stomping from idle from what I can see.

First time I used the all season rubber that came with the car. I've since switched to Goodyear summer tires when at Atco that grip better.

Hope to see you again at Atco.

Dan

Thanks 67 GTO for the link I saved to my favs. :w00t:
I used the calculator and it adjusted the time to 14.294 @ 98.21.
If I use a set of track tires should I go with 18” instead of 20”
I will try to go back Tuesday night.if the whether is better let me know if you want to go. Also what is a good DA now that you gave me the link.

Well my best runs were when the DA was -600 and -1300, rare air for sure that you'll most likley see in the fall and early spring.

My lighter/shorter 19" aftermarket setup may give me a little boost. They weigh about 44lbs less (total) than the stock 20" RS wheels/tires.

Everyone says that the Camaro is too heavy so I'll lighten it up as much I can.

A diet for the driver may be in order too boot! :)

P/M/C,

If you were racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, here's the Density Altitude Correction factor for your run:

Las Vegas Motor Speedway
6/5/10 12:56 pm

Track Elevation: 2028 feet above sea level
Air Temperature: 100 degrees F
Barometric Pressure: 29.77 inches Hg
Relative Humidity: 15 %

CORRECTED
Density Altitude: 5334 feet above sea level
1/4 mile ET: 15.2 seconds = 14.19 seconds (corrected)

Nice!

Looks like you ran a corrected for sea level 14.2 sec 1/4 mile.

What was your trap speed and 60 ft time?

Well here's my time slip from C5 Fest. I hope this worked.

Attachment 133933

Uploaded. I also cropped/resized it and brightened it up a bit to make it more readable.

Remind me - are you submitting for the bone stock category or one of the others?

P.S. - nevermind, found it. Bone Stock LS A6.

Well then, you pulled an amazing 1/4 mile time with just a 2.357.

Do you have your trap speed? I can do a "corrected" on that was well.

And seeing how every 1/10 off your 60 ft is roughly 2/10 off your 1/4 time, if you managed a 2.2 you could have easily run a corrected time of 14.0 or better!

Any mods? CAI? Wheels? Tires? Exhaust?

Here are my full numbers from my BONE stock LS:

R/T: .437
60': 2.357
330: 6.502
1/8: 9.873
mph: 71.59
1000': 12.806
ET: 15.264
mph: 92.21

Here is your corrected ET and MPH using the Density Air Calculator:

Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
14.251 @ 98.736 MPH

Now that's more like it! You turned a corrected time slightly better than what most published tests reported (~14.5).

Nice Job.

PoorMansCamaro 06-08-2010 08:09 AM

wow, that is awesome! Thanks again! I just installed my long tubes yesterday, and my intake is sitting in the garage, will install that tonight. I'm also waiting on my corsa catback this week. Can't wait to run her again!:happyanim:
