SSBC 8 piston calipers
 

8 piston calipers that use common corvette pads. Has anyone tried these yet?

All for the low-low price of $1,014. Braking it down (see what I did there ;) )
- cheapest "good" set of ss brake lines is about $150
- HPS pads are about another $120

So you're getting 8 piston calipers for like $745 - :bolt:


That and I'm curious to know what they mean by "brackets and hardware" - I have a feeling they're going to be wheel spacers.

what about the rotor? and the fact they are that inexpensive is a little scary

- Its a universal caliper with a spacer to get the offset right.
- There's no mention of piston design.
- It looks to be a monobloc but there appears to be no engineering analysis done because there's a lot of excess material that could be removed to make it lighter and not reduce strength.
- Thats a lot of caliper for a stock size rotor so you only addressed 1 of 2 weak links. Adding racing brake rotors would help but at that price point I would look at different kits.

It apparently can use the stock rotor :iono:

even less comfortable with that. I would pass on it OP one of those things that are too good to be true....the pistons are probably the size of a dime if it can fit our rotor size

It states 30 and 35 mm but not the mix. More doesn't always mean better. Especially when they haven't even mentioned any steps to address heat transfer.
