Is this a programmer? If so do you just plug it into a laptop?

It is used with a Vector file they email you for your specific car, yes it is the programmer, data logger, etc. Follow the link for details. Thanks.

Hmm.

I hope you didn't use it.

This new product is a single VIN cable with a built-in data logger.
If the op used it on his car then it is locked to his vin number and can not be used by the person who buys it.

The Stig 08-04-2010 01:42 PM

Well, OP . . . . . did you use it?

motor1 08-04-2010 06:17 PM

Yes, I will call the guys at Vector. They have a loaner cable that they use for those who do not want to buy one, you just pay for shipping. I cannot imagine they change and discard it after each use. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I would certainly hope that is common sense, since a tune would be for YOUR modifications...........
