Attendance numbers?

Any word on how many Camaros and how many people attended CF8?

the question was not "how many cars in the staging lanes for Test and Tune"!!

The food vendors told me they thought the crowds were way down.

There did not seem to be as many Camaros parked around Beech Bend as previous years to me but the hotels looked packed with Camaros.

I can say I didn’t get to spend as much time at Beech Bend this year as I wanted too (family visited). There were quite a few at the host hotel on Friday. Maybe folks are expanding their horizons and doing other things...

If attendance was down I think it is more of, been at that location already and did that. I skipped this year because I had been at the previous two at Beach Bend.

In general Camaro attendance has been slipping at events that I have seen. Honestly since 2014 I have seen participation going down and down.

Racing registration was at an all time high with 80% higher than last year. LSFest, Mustang Week, Dream Cruise and quite a few other events are at the same location and time every year and grow each event. CamaroFest looks like its doing the same thing.

I would say attendance suffered due to how hot it was. Many likely stayed home because they didn't want to deal with the insane heat and humidity. I don't know why it had to get so hot right in the middle of two much cooler weeks. Just the luck of the draw I guess. At least there was no rain and we got some good racing in. Maybe next year will be our lucky one and we get a clear mid 70 to low 80 weekend to have a blast without roasting.

I agree, I think the heat has a lot to do with crowds at the track. Racing seemed much bigger and more competitive then ever.

I know if the next Fest is in Bowling Green in July or August, I will not be attending. Just to damn hot to hang out at the track all day. I will instead make plans to attend LS Fest in September and the Sturgis Camaro Ralley in the Summer months.

Don't get me wrong BG is a great location for any car event, IT"S JUST TOO DAMN HOT and HUMID

I guess they don't want to release the totals. Or maybe they don't have them yet.

Bo White 08-07-2018 06:14 AM

I think it was announced at CF8 that CF9 will be same bat time same bat place
