Will you guys tune a 2010 LLT? They have the tuning software out in beta with HP Tuners, just need a tuner not to far from me that will do a dyno tune. I only will have simple bolt ons done (Long Tubes, CAI, Exhaust).

If so, can you please shoot me a PM with a price. I plan on having my headers on sometime soon and will need a tune to get rid of the CEL after that.

Thanks guys. I treat my mail order calibrations like I do from my dyno runs. We do back an forth with data collection and changes until im happy with my numbers. Then we're done.

Guy ask me if I do remote tuning on Forced Induction vehicles and I say mostly No. I don't mine providing something that will make the car, but in FI cars to much can happen to fast, and it needs to be real time for monitoring.

I also had a buddy with his Corvette C6 who had a diablo tuner and cat back on it. He ended up taking his car to Phil the same day I did and ended up getting it dialed in perfectly. He called me right after to let me know the the car felt so much better instantly and was completely shocked at just how much of a difference it was having Phil fine tune the car over his handheld. He had a complete trans and engine tune done and loves his car even more now.

This Camaro is a Animal now. Just a little story. Ytown was installing a cam, and asked me if I could stop by to load a start up tune so the car would not stall. The stars aliened that I was able to at the end of day after playing golf. But guys that know me, know I just cant stop with a upload. Ytown did a little driving around his parking lot building, so I adjusted his Fuel trims, Idle, Wanting to stall, and we had two shot at little WOT in 3rd gear. I did enough to make the car run good and not die out, but no wear did I add enough to make it powerful. At the end he asked me how much he owed me, and I said nothing, Im not done. I just want you do have a good car to drive to the track.

The next day, 6 or 7 guys from the Tampa Tuning race team were at Bradenton track, YTOWN gets in one clean run and I have more data collection from my scanner than from a parking lot. So I make some calibration correction, then the car dies and the code is for the hand ported throttle body. I clear it, Ytown get a good dig, but dies again with the throttle body code. So I tell him follow me home, I have 15 LS3 cores there, Ill give you a stock core just to make sure that was the problem before his scheduled dyno tuning on Monday. As soon as I plug in the new throttle body, the check engine light went off and never came back.

Then two days later, I got him on the dyno. I know my baseline calibration was good, but I didn't make it to potential. I just wanted to car to be drive able for the weekend so I could get it on the dyno Monday. Adding to stock throttle body back on fixed the codes the was pushing him into reduced power.

The start up calibration dyno run pulled 475RWHP with a blip of 492 RWHP. The 475 RWHP would have been great for most guys, but I want to spend a couple hours calibrating it on the dyno fixing some surging, the idle RPMs, hanging idle, fueling, and main spark timing.

End results from bolt on, intake, a cam equaled 506 RWHP

Hi Tampa tune,

I sent you an email with a couple questions, but I will repost here. I installed a K&N intake, 1.7/8 long tube headers, cat delete, and upgrade iridium plugs. The headers do not have a bung hole for the rear O2 sensors.

Will my car run drive with the rear O2 sensors off?

Can you tune my factory computer or do I need an aftermarket computer?

I shot you an Email saying :
You'll throw a couple codes from the voltage change with the O2 extensions, and the cats being relocated, but the car will be fine to drive. You can drive it without issues cruising and normal driving, I would just resist the urge to go wide open because it will lean out some with the new airflow, but you'll be fine driving the car to me. when your check engine light comes on from the codes, if you have the remote start option, to fob wont work for remote starting.

Thanks for your help Phil, my sons car is a beast!! I like the fact that you take the time to go over the logs carefully and apply tuning to the problem areas to achieve the best tune! I use to race Outlaw 10.5 with a twin turbo setup and Steve Petty did my tuning he would take the time like you did to give me one of the fastest cars in the country. I guess I have good judgement choosing the best tuners around period!!

Thanks Matt for the complements and im glad you can enjoy the car more now than from the original tune done for you car.

Ive always tracked Steve Perry because he's a true professional calibrator with many of the fastest cars in the world..... and I mean real race world not internet world lol.

There's "tuners" around here that cant tell the difference between true knock and false knock and how to calibrate for it.

I calibrate the vehicles to a safe optimum level, and it was a pleasure working on you and your son's project.:clap:

Remember always check your fluids before drag racing.

Well it took a lot of figuring out, but we nailed it. I would to have liked to try an LLT with bolt ons first, but that didn't work.
This LLT Camaro was pretty damn cool. So to totally erase the previous calibration, we had to write over the current calibration with a different year and different VIN LLT, then write the actual vin and OEM calibration. Once we did that, HP Tuners was able to access and download the computer mapping.
we were into the car for about 5 hours and still will get more time into it once it comes back in couple weeks. Im not going to throw the dyno number out there yet, because I think there's still some more power to me found.
Before the car ran 4-5 pounds of boost with a AFR under 10.9. We were able to get 7-8 pounds of boost and lean it out to 11.5. The power still needs to improve but at Tampa Tuning we figured out how to calibrate the little engine that could.....LLT Click the picture for the video

To put it mildly, it looks like a 4th grader with crayons tuned it. Im surprised you noticed much of a difference.

Be careful because it’s going to be a different car than you’re used to. Your transmission didn't have much done to it........ But neither did your engine, so I just converted it to a Tampa Tuning calibration.

Phil just tuned my car about two weeks ago, after I had an aftermarket cam installed. He is METICULOUS when it comes to these tunes. He starts on the low end and progressively bumps up the RPM in small increments to make sure everything is at it's optimum level throughout the entire RPM range. His tunes probably take a little more time than some other tuners around here, but I can tell you, it's worth it!!! I had a very mild cam installed because drivability was important to me. After the tune, my car feels like a BEAST, has a wonderful "rumble" to it, and is still has every ounce of drivability she had before. I should have done this a long time ago!!! Phil has earned my trust and respect as an LSx tuner, and I will undoubtedly be a life-long customer any time I need my tune adjusted for new mods. I give Tampa Tuning my highest recommendation….you won't be disappointed!!! Thanks for the awesome tune Phil, hope to see you again soon….maybe after a Supercharger!!!

The difference between me and other guys is im trained to calibrate and the others learned to tune by tinkering.

I spend a long time working the low end of the car RPM band where you spend most of your time. When I like the way the low end numbers look, I start to calibrate the WOT.

Im a professional that is professionally trained.

real nice gains through out the band. We couldn't finish the original baseline pulls because the car was breaking up

Nice ZL1 Camaro A6 we did with just and air intake, Vmax, and upper pulley dyno in at 548 RWHP by the professionals at Tampa Tuning.
Headers, cam, and stall next.
