Oil Leak From Oil Cooler

When I did the Oil Change I notice Oil close to the filter, I cleaned the area and changed the Oil, recently I decided to take a look and notice oil again...:mad0260:

I read about loose srews on the oil cooler, mine where loose also so I tight them ...Have you had the same problem? It was resolved with that?

Mine's doing it AGAIN! Had it in 2 months ago and they replaced the oil cooler adaptor gasket. I was under the car the other day and noticed that tell tale sign of oil under the adaptor again. It goes in next Monday!

Just picked up the car from the dealer for the oil leak. This time they said it was the oil pan gasket. The oil cooler was o.k. This is the second oil leak on my car, seems a little extreme for a brand new car with only 7000 miles on it.

had my oil cooler gaskets replaced last week and now my pan is leaking in 2 spots and i can see them bubbling. my dealer brings it to my house yesterday and said they ordered a new pan and new gasket .and have to replace something else also.they say its leaking from somewhere else also .this is bullshit .this is about a 5 hour job to replace this pan .this sucks

Can anyone tell me the TSB for the oil cooler leak that requires a new gasket?

Hebe4 11-05-2010 03:15 PM

I don't think there is a TSB but if you have a leaking gasket I'm sure the dealer will replace it. I'm going in for mine next week......and it looks just like the OP's.
