Is it wrong, that I miss it already?

I dropped my 1LE off at the dealer to have the wheels repainted because the wheels had a crap finish on them from the factory. I left it there this morning and already I'm pissed and miss it. They gave me a freaking Cruze to drive while they have it.

Yes they are doing this under warranty before you ask.

Can you post before and after pictures?

I neglected to take before pics but it was the typical finish for these 10 spokes. The barrel got a mist coat the back of the face had nothing and the edges of the spokes were silver. I was quite dissapointed in them. The service manager immediatley understood my displeasure and was very willing to take care of things.

Sorry to hear that. Mine actually have a pretty decent finish.

Wow, I can't believe this is still happening....I need to put this on my checklist for details to pay attention too when I get my car later this summer. OP, I'm glad that you're getting it taken care of, you'll be permagrinin' in no time. Once you get it, it's like having an old friend, it feels like they never left. :thumb:

We even looked at some other sets on vehicles in stock and their wheels looked the same. I would be mad but it's getting taken care of so readily it's hard to complain. I'm not really a big fan of the Cruze they gave me it's a nice car just not my style. Only 650 miles on it too.

Take it from someone who spent a lot of time in GM provided rentals in the last year. Make sure that you document ALL your interaction with the dealership. No matter how nice they treat you.... make sure that all their promises are in writing. Also make sure that you and a service rep "walk" the car before and after service. GM stands behind their products, they really do... but the customer has to remain vigilant.

Can you find out if there is TSB for the wheel paint?

Firefighter 04-16-2013 09:57 AM

I will ask about a TSB. Believe me the car has been gone over and I will check the hell out of it before I take it back. Thanks for the heads up.
