I have thought about this a number of times. I can't imagine the government not funding GM for a while more. The government may require a structured prepackage bankruptcy. In my mind... chances are pretty high that the Camaro will be built. But... who knows... if in a couple of years if car sales don't pickup... anything could happen. By then we will all be driving our cars.

I'm fully aware of what a hemispherical combustion chamber is and looks like.

what I was getting at is that "HEMI" today is nothing more than a brand name. Chrysler/Dodge has modeled their modern "Hemi" heads of those of the LS series as they have proved better.

No It Doesn't! None of the so called hemi's since the re-introduction of the name are actually hemi's. Just branding... trying to pick-up from the glory days. Just stupid... And yes, the LS series combustion chamber is better.
