Hate how my RS lights don't light up the streets

I'm used to having 10000k HID on all my other cars. Just bought my 2ss/RS. These white halo lights light up the street like regular yellow halogen bulbs. How can I put HID if I have the halo lights?

what are you talking about guy...if ur driving with halos only you need to check yourself...turn on ur hids projectors...

Wouldn't they be on if I have it on auto switch?

SSMickey 12-28-2011 09:23 PM

Not sure I understand your question. If you have the RS package you have HID lights. Now, if your trying to drive on the halos only, there not for driving. The halo's are kind of dim though. Go to AAC Style and you can get replacment Halo's that are brighter and in differant colors if you want. BTY, I think the Camaro HID's are in the 6500k range which is technicly brighter than 10,000k but not as blue.

They should be. Since you just bought your car, are you sure everything about the lighting is as it should be? Maybe someone has done something to it and you don't know about it.:iono:

They light up the street yellow. So I don't know how they can be considered HIDs. 6500k should light up the street white not yellow. And my lights are set up on auto so when it's night they turn on by them selves. So I'm positive I'm not driving just with the halos

No one has done nothing to the lights. The lights look a bright white but they light up the street yellow

Doesn't matter what he has....I assure since he is a credible member he knows what RS headlights look like/light up the road. 6500k HIDS for that matter.

No need for comments like that.

2nd, mine light up the road plenty bright, with MAYBE a slight yellow shade....

I think they are perfect.

Take it to a dealer if you think something isn't right.

well IMO you said you had 10k hids? and going to the camaro with are about 6k thats a big difference in light color. the 10k are a very deep blue almost purple so yes anything with a lower kelvin number is going to look 'yellow' because your used to looking at deep blue. The camaros hids are plenty bright especially with the high beams.

Im with camarokid300, rude comments are not welcome.
