Radio not turning on
 

So I have a 2013 2LS. And around mid-July my radio wouldn't turn on when I turned on the car. Wouldn't be all that frequent (and it'd come back on at some point in my drive) but around August, it got worse. If I got in my car 3 times a day, it wouldn't turn on for each time or maybe it wouldn't turn on for one of those times. My dad (a mechanic of 20+years) unplugged the battery and let it sit, took out the BCM chip. Also think it's heat triggered, but at the same time not. I can leave my car in a parking garage all day, free from the sun, and it won't turn on. Anyone ever have this issue? or can help?

Does the display show the radio is on but no sound comes out? Is there a chime when you open the doors? If no sound, no chime, etc but the radio is on, it's pretty much a safe bet your factory stereo amp is dead. I'm looking to replace mine now due to the same issue.

Radio does not come on at all. No display. Blinker noise doesn't work when radio isn't working. Brought it to the dealership. they said it was some plate that was broken.

My 2014 LS did the same thing.Other times it would show stations but no sound and you could not change stations it would stay on same one as you turned selector.I ended up buying another radio off here and it works fine now.

I had the same happen to my radio would not turn on at all. I had to use a friend of mines radio from her Camaro. I then had to take it to the dealer ship and have them program it. I’m possibly gonna be getting a new radio soon so I will be selling mines

it wound up being the whole headunit. So it's almost fixed.
