Absolutely not. Just something to hold me over and maybe work with that

Okay....Next Question....Red = Victory Red, or Crystal Red?

right.... quick study indeed... You learned how to drag race in the same amount of time it takes to remove a rear set of 22s and replace them with 18" drag radials....

Did you even help jack the car up???? or did your "Pit Crew" do all the work too....

Were you even driving????

;)

...and a Hell of a Pit Crew it was... you should get one... keeps you from breaking fingers and stuff..

Too bad you don't own one like that.... ;)

They were his.. we gave them to him... he didn't like them and gave them back... I think he said something like "I beat him on the top end anyway, no need for these DRs"

ShnOmac 10-31-2011 09:20 PM

You sure you want to go with that color up front? Kind of reminds me of a certain college football team in southern Az..... Lets hope your record at the track does not match theirs on the field......

on that red, i hate to be the naysayer, but it looks like your car got punched in the mouth & his gums are bleeding :iono:

and IRPQ,

...oh, nevermind. i'm gonna leave this one alone

OK bro...just my opinion. I love the blackout front and back, but not sure I like the red.

I do think that the larger blackout on the front looks better. I was originally going to just do the inside, but my painter convinced me to do the larger piece. I'm absolutely glad I did...just looks more aggressive.

And that gives me an excuse to post a pic of my car in your build thread. :D

Darth_Emma 11-01-2011 12:31 PM

I'm not diggin' the red on the blue.

I do think silver spears or stripes would look great on the dark blue.

GTAHVIT 11-01-2011 12:35 PM

I'm trying to do something a little uniquie...

so I'm staying away from the traditional Black, CGM, white and silver accents...

so I was thinking a deep dark red might work...

But it seems like most aren't feeling it... I'm on the fence. I think it could work... but.... not sure about it.... :iono:

Darth_Emma 11-01-2011 12:37 PM

I think RJT calipers would look good, I just don't think it looks good around the grill.

GTAHVIT 11-01-2011 12:38 PM

How bout the back? is that a go or no go.

In black...definitely. Makes the car look wider.

OK so much for that idea.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread jack

garcmol 11-01-2011 12:51 PM

Not so fast now...... PS experts, turn this IBM except for the RJT grill and around the headlights. This will give a better idea of what it will look like.

Dr Jkel 11-01-2011 12:59 PM

Maybe a metallic charcoal graphite might be better.... oh hell just paint it pink......I seem to remember a certain tutu that color..,...

garcmol 11-01-2011 01:09 PM

I just like how RJT and IBM (Being deep colors) look wet when all polished up. I think they would compliment each other.

pink......lolz

better?

edit wrong pic... I needed to darken up the RJT a bit... Looked too hot pink...

garcmol 11-01-2011 01:22 PM

:w00t: I like it! But my internetz websdalingo says back it up one line (like yesturday) :D

Just remember......... my orange looked funky and was a step 'out there' when Joe did my photoshops. Hard to imagine it in person til you see it in person. The orange worked well I think. At the time it was different. I've seen a few different colored heritage grills since but not many.

Tuff choice. The back looks awesome. In fact, I think I'm gonna finish my back with orange now.

I think Russ read it wrong.

Real quick.

:bellyroll:

But, yes, it's a better looking shop. Still pretty hard to say. I like it, but I think it can be better.

Darth_Emma 11-01-2011 01:27 PM

Have you thought about trying a lighter blue instead of red?

Gotta remember though, black and orange have always looked good together.

And been around a while. Kind of a Camaro Staple, plus it matches your interior.

Darth_Emma 11-01-2011 01:33 PM

I have another idea... what if you use blue or black insert, but put a red pinstripe around it? I saw the car in the first post of this thread: http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179804

I know that car is green, but the black inset with the red pinstripe looks cool. Then if you did your calipers red, it would tie in with the pinstripe.

Here are a couple pics from that thread.

garcmol 11-01-2011 01:35 PM

I think you'd lose the black in a sea of dark blue and all that would show is the red pin stripe.

I think I understood it. He was asking if he should do the back, and I was saying yes...if the color is black.

That being said, I would definitely do what you like, and not take our opinions too seriously.

Look what mlee did to his car a while back. I didn't like it personally, but it was definitely different.

Ok to give Norm's some thought...

I'm not into lighter colors... a lighter blue is not gonna work with my ultimate plans for the paint.

You'd be amazed at how well black contrast shows up on dark colors. I think the black spears look good on my CGM car.

What are your ultimate plans for the paint?

garcmol 11-01-2011 01:54 PM

I like the combo! I don't think the RJT would blast out at you either. Like walking toward the car from an angle you'd never notice the contrast until you were on it.

Now tuck a dim red LED behind the grill in "breathe" mode

While I agree with Russ on the meaner look. I think that with the Red and Blue this one is easier the better of the two.
