Hey, I had a PJ "noisy" gear drive on my 95 Z71. It was bad ass. But I was only 20 years old so it's excusable! |
It's a No No if your using a knock sensor.

While technology has advanced, there is no replacement for a good gear drive setup vice a chain or belt as both will eventually stretch. PJs were one of the first mods I did to everything I have driven over the past 30+ years, until I picked up the 99 and then 02 SSs.
As for the whine... Love it, and I'm nearly 50 and still mash the gas for fun. I don't think I'll ever have to worry about timing in the 2010, but a gear drive to boot..... Don't think I ever want to grow up, but then, I wouldn't ever want to be younger than 20 again either!! |
