HPP Firebird Conversion and T-Top Camaros for SEMA
 

HPP will be debuting their 69 Firebird conversion based off the Camaro at 2010 SEMA.

The company has detailed the build process on its Facebook page, and there's also a second Camaro with a T-Top the company is bringing to SEMA.

That actually looks really good. Best Firebird remake yet. But what the hell is up with the interior? I get the blue seats and inserts...but why red accents on the steeringwheel and red carpet?

HELL to the NO! on the side scoops and chrome grill. It may fall in with the 69 FB but it looks hideous on that car. Look at the first picture... It looks like it was stuck on with double sided tape.

And I am and have always been a Trans Am lover, they did that car wrong in my book.

I don't think it looks bad, the only thing I think is a little weird is that the shape of the headlights seeems to be the shape of the camaro taillights. Then in the interior, the carpet and steering wheel are red and don't go with any other part on the car. Other than that its great.

Damn hot looking pics. I really like the T/A and the Yellow one. Of course the models really set the cars off also.

I have never wanted a dislike button on facebook more than I do now.

This is the worst of the three firebird/trans-am concept cars.

The yellow camaro with the hide-away front headlights is my dealers car he had these guys build him. I'll (hopefully) get to see it next month when I pick up my car since, unfortunately, I can't go to SEMA. :(

Too retro. Nice idea, but not pulled of perfectly. I don't mind a Firebird mod for the Camaro, but I hate it when it looks like someone just grabbed parts off of old cars and glued them on. To me, that's what this and the Retrokits 5/1 Camaros are. Its the same mistake Chrysler made with the Challenger. If you want an old Firebird or Camaro, just buy one, don't rip up a nice modern car. You'll have neither a cool classic car nor a modern muscle car, just thousands of dollars of bad, fake-looking body work. The idea is to not have the heads you're turning be laughing at you when they do.

I don't understand why people don't like this one compared to the others. This one looks so much better. I like it a lot. My only suggestion is that they shouldn't have the beak grill stick out as much.

There are cars in those pictures? I only saw a really hot blonde!

being a owner of a 69 firebird i say personally.. fail on looks, thumbs up to getting the job done looking nice and clean

Hot? Your kidding right? Herd must be pretty thin in your area.

I actually like the rear of the vehicle, for the most part. I could do without the chrome bumper, because I think they just look odd on the 5th gens.

The front would also look better without the chrome "beak" trim. In the production stills (sans chrome), the front end doesn't look like it juts out quite as far. The fact that the "beak" dips down lower than the midline of the front fascia only adds to the illusion that it sticks out farther than a toddler's overbite when paired with the chrome "beak" trim.

I like the headlight ports/bezels in the front fascia and I think the hood looks like a pretty faithful reproduction (even though I've never liked that style).

All-in-all, I think it's the best 69 Trans-Am kits to date; but, it's still missing the mark.

Like the car but why the pointed protrusion on the lower part of the grill, follow the same contour of the bumper. If you're going to do a '69 than stay '69 and leave the '70 front bulges off. The front minus the pointiness is the closest to the '69 T/A to date.

not liking the firebird much at all..... the chicks look good though. maybe have them parading around naked and no one will notice the cars

Horrific. The car I mean. Girls marginally better than the car.

I really like the hood. the beak grill is no good. I also like the fog light port holes better and i like the front spoiler. it reminds me of the '79 Z/28. Plus did any one notice the car in the back ground in picture 7 and 8. it looks like they tried to make a daytona super bee, kinda cool. The two little hot spinner girls are a nice addition....

Don't really like the car mods, but, I'd take the cars over the "women".

The front of the firebird looks too pointy and the tail lights look weird. I like the Kevin Morgan Trans Am concept better. I do love the hideaway headlights of the yellow Camaro, just like on the '69, my favorite model.

I like the Firebird conversion, almost all of it cept for the tail lights im not a big fan of the tail lights, and not cause they "did it wrong" or "butchered the soul of the car" i just dont find it astheticly pleasing lol, i do wish they wouldnt have chromed the bumpers i think itd look better minus the chrome, chrome only looks good on classic cars
As for the Camaro, nahhh not happenin, maybe if you desined an entire specialty grill with an original-style hideaway system but this just isnt workin

By far the best T/A conversion yet. At least they understand the shape of the 5thG is is more of the 1stG and not the 2ndG. Love the guys talking trash about these chicks....that's funny (not funny HaHa....).
