Camaro5 Fest 2 Convoy Itinerary

Hey guys. I think we need to start an itinerary for all the CA convoys we'll be having. Throw some ideas out there and let's start coordinating.

The first post will be updated with new information. Thanks!!

• From Pleasonton, Ca to Bakersfield is 4 1/2 hours.
• Norcal must leave around 5AM.
• Bakersfield meets at 10AM
• Leave Bakersfield between 10:30-11:00AM
• Arrive at Casino in Cabazon to meet with socal around 1PM
• Leave Cabazon by 2PM
• Possible gas up and meet with Canadian/Vegas group in Blythe at 4-4:30PM.(working on this)
• Leave Blythe around 4:30-5PM
• Arrive at hotels around 7:30-8PM

Update: Adding areas where convoy groups will most likely be started to join the massive line.

Norcal:
SF Bay area:
Sacramento/Elk Grove/Folsom area:
Modesto:
Fresno: Kleinz truck stop off Hernon
Bakersfield: Merle Haggard

So-Cal
All So Cal groups should plan to be in Cabazon at 1:00 to meet the Nor Cal guys and gals and be ready to leave NTL 2:00 We are driving out to the location this weekend to get a better idea of where we should meet up.

The meet up for the IE will be the Moreno Valley Mall. (I need to drive over there and get the exact location that should occur this weekend weather permitting)

The LA area group will have 2 different locations:
Northern LA area: Bob’s Big Boy 4211 West Riverside Dr, Burbank this can catch everyone north of LA
South Bay/Southern LA: TBD (can someone from the Area please suggest a spot)
San Diego: are you guys still meeting at Quailcomm?
High Desert Area: TBD... is there enough coming for the High Desert Area to have a meet spot. In my opinion more the 1 is enough
OC: Carls Jr 8361 La Palma Ave Buena Park
South OC: old Circuit City El Toro Road and the 5
South Riverside County: Sam's Club Parking Lot Murrietta Hot Springs & the 215
San Diego: TBD
North San Diego: TBD

For starters, we can all divide "zones" like we did for the Stillen meet. South Bay at BofA, OC at Sonic's, and so forth.

Or....we can go old school and meet at the usual:

Need a Nor★Cal meeting point/place

We'll have a couple for sure. Probably one in the bay, one for sac area, and then one on the way down to socal. I'm gonna check with the Oregon/Washington/BC people and see if they're coming through too. It would make sense to meet up with them.

So we have SOUTH BAY at BofA and North OC and some of SOUTH LA at Carl's. Is that correct so far?

When would we leave CA? on the 14th?

I think we need a huge parking lot close to a freeway to make this happen or we can meet at a spot in the 10 freeway somewhere in riverside

Hmmm... if we take the 8 east.. straight shot from San Diego. Everyone meet here? lol.

I hope the road construction is finished by then, I went to el paso about a month ago and there was a lot of construction and border patrol check points. that'll slow us all down for sure.

Yeah, I think that the Carl's parking lot would be a good meeting spot since most of us are fairly familiar with it. And it's close to the 91 which will lead to the other freeways (60/215/10).

Yup... think at Carls is good for our area... we can do several spots since the 10fwy crosses. the riverside peeps can jump in the caravan as well as the ones from san diego since they would take the 15fwy north and so on... just my .05 cents worth

I'm in, agree, we could find a point along the 10 out by Redlands, so all roads will meet up.

I'm thinking S/B I-5 to the 10 and across or maybe 99 to I-5 so we can pick up the Cen Cal group unless the Fresno group wants to meet at Harris Ranch.

Got a room at the Red Roof Inn in Chandler thu-sun couple miles from track .If leaving thursday Carl's works for me. Can hardly wait!!!:happyanim:must pick up copy of C.W Mcalls Convoy for trip up.:facepalm: roflmao

I think we should wait for host hotel info before booking - that's my 2 cents.

No one has commented on planned leaving date, but I would think Thursday the latest, so hotel for Thur, Fri & Sat for us ;)

Bako can leave from Chuy's or Hooters, depending on how many cars we have.

That's what I was thinking, leave Thursday afternoon, back Sunday. I booked at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino, looks closest to the track and it has a casino right there in the name, perfect...

I would wait on booking because they're trying to get package deals in place. ;)

We can meet at QualCom Stadium in San Diego and go I-8 from there. The parking lot hold about 8 thousand car's. That should be enough room ha,ha :chevy: :chevy:

makes more sense for us to take the 105 E to the 605 N to the 60 E to the 10 E....or even the 605 N straight to the 10 E. no sense it going all the way down the 91.

the folks coming down the 91 E can meet us up where the 91 and the 60 meet or something.

then the folks coming up the 15 N to the 215 N can hop on the 60 E a little bit after the 91/60 interchange and meet up with us.

this is my plan. i'll take vacation on thursday and monday, leave here on thursday. come home sunday.

It's not like it can't be cancelled, trust me not a big deal.

I've got rooms booked on the guess of where the Hot Rod Power Tour will start in June next year, one in Mobile, one in New Orleans, so used to the game.

605 to 10 is a b*#@h.
