There's a solution to your fluid problems.....

..... I use compressed air, and it's $0.00 a pint

We use air brakes on our trucks at the station, all is good and well until you run out of compressed air :yikes:

It's not so bad, you just skid to a stop... actually kinda fun

Semi uses 22.5 wheels, some donks are bigger than that, so the drums could conceivably fit... add brake pots, air dryer, replace that goofy parking brake handle with a cool knob on the dash, you're good to go racing!

does the carbon ceramic kit swap over to the camaro?
i know a guy put them on his C5 vette, but that's the same basic platform

Braking is over-rated. :bellyroll:

From the ZR1?

early on guys were talking about doing it but there was something wrong with the ABS computer on the Camaro. From what the GM guys said (can't remember who it was now) the camaro abs computer doesn't work well with the ZR1 brakes. But Man that would be the ultimate setup for a camaro.. Talk about a budget way to get a full CS bake setup...

They're great. For a car that weighs 3400 lbs. You're better with the CTS-V setup

There is a full system with GT-R Calipers and Carbon Ceramic Rotors we have spec'd out with Brembo specifically for the 5th Gen. They are incredible brakes, but they are incredibly expensive. I hope we find a client that is interested in this level of perfection... soon.

Yep!

With the setup I have now, when I'm out goofing off, I keep pulling up short in the turns...

It's hard to make your self brake later then you are used to.

naw, nothin but :respekt: Randy!

JusticePete 08-18-2012 03:37 PM

There are a number of Pro-Touring Builds running ZR1 brakes with an adjusted ABS cal. The issues you have with that setup are the limited selection of pads and the cost of replacing a SCRATCHED rotor. If you go off course and a pebble or two happen to scratch your brand new ZL1 rotor be prepared to chuck it in the garbage. Now the carbo rotors we have specd with Brembo are still good even with a scratch ;-)

Dude. This thread could use more power.

You should get a cam and pulley down. Bigger injectors and a ZL1 fuel pump.

Just an idea.

mlee 09-07-2012 05:09 AM

For your new ZL1 front end...

...a little light control

I still need to power up my fog lights.

OH what bulbs did you get for the fogs?

Thanks all for the well wishes and support. It's been a rough spell. I've still a ton of things that have to get done. But, at least I'm at the house to do it.

I received my sideskirts from Maureen on Monday after I had gotten the news. So those sat in the living room until today. Gary sent me my lights and those were waiting on me as well. So I took some time today and installed all of it. I like the look of the sideskirts in black.

I had to cut the plug off of my foglight wiring and wired in a H11 connector for the ZL1 foglights. Easy to do and works perfectly.

Now I know it's an H11 connector, so that would mean H11 bulb, correct?

AAC sells a combo P13Plasma DRL and Fog package that match. If you use a harness you'll need a match since they can be powered up together. On stock cars DRL turns off when Fogs turn on.
