I AM READY FOR SOME NEW GM NEWS ON THE Z28

I have been going back and forth trying to decide if I buy a C6 Z06 or wait for the new Z28? If I buy the Z06 I will send it to Katech right away for a heads and cam package. I have a bunch of friends with new C6's and Z's so I am really not wanting the Z06 as much as I once did. I really "NEED" more info on the upcomming Z28 to figure out what I want to do. As a loyal Camaro fan and collector I ask, PLEASE GM SHARE MORE INFO ON THE NEW Z28. I know you guy's read these posts! Thanks, Jeff:readthethread:

Do you mean like specifics wise? or if it is actually real?

You probably want to go to Shno's House of Z and commizerate with all of the others that have asked exactly your question only to be told, "there is no Z28 announced at this time. And, "GM does not comment on future programs"

So as of today there is no Z28, hence no specs, timing or even acknowledgement.

Yea, what number 3 said! It would be nice to know if it is even in the works? Official word from GM would be nice! At least I would know if I should buy a Z06 now or wait for the Z28. Jeff

Even if it comes out, it sounds like it may be awhile. Might as well go get the
Z06. :D:w00t:

WOW!!!!:w00t::cool::headbang: I can understand that. I guess it's safe to say it may be closer than what we think.

yea yea! I cant wait for it too honestly. Im 18 and I either want to wait for it or get a car now for college or something. Love them camaros. My dad had a 1970 Z and that was gorgeous. Then vettes took over his life...

Honestly bringing back the camaro is the smartest thing GM has done in a long time...

No offense intended, but there have been lots of guys with 'uncles/dads/moms/roommates that work for GM' and what they say ends up being just a lie.

I read your posts with hopeful scepticism

Claery 01-08-2010 03:47 PM

Nope no lie intended, I do understand what you're saying. Thats actually why I jumped onto the forum and actually posted for once in my life because I found out its true and wanted to share :)

Sorry about the double post. But my question is, why would you want to add power to an already powerful car? In my opinion, or what I was grown up with, was that adding things such as headers or new cams end up decreasing the value of the car. I do follow to each its own, but I mean come on its a Z06, where are you really going to reach 200mph..
I always see people add things and end up having problems. I like it since im 18 and its the "cool" thing to do but I dont know if its good to take those chances since you lose value with resale and end up paying more for maintenance possibly.
