Wear your seatbelt!
Hi Guys,
Couple weeks ago, I read someone on the Thread wanting to turn off the Seatbelt reminder on the Camaro, because he/she did not plan on Wearing IT! Well, in light of that, it reminded me of this commercial I found on Youtube: I think this is tastefully done commercial... but yes... WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS! Peace =D |
NICE!! thanks for the post...

A driver not wearing a seat belt is like a cop not wearing a vest.
I don't care who you are, if you don't wear a belt, you're a bloody idiot. You think it’s cool not to wear one? You think it's uncomfortable wearing one? Imagine how cool you'll be when your face is ripped off after going through the windscreen; imagine how uncomfortable that would feel. If a driver has this mind set, that it is either un-cool or uncomfortable to wear seat belts, they don't deserve to drive a car, least of all own one. You don't wear a eat belt because you expect to get in a wreck, you wear one because you have to expect the unexpected. I don't have a fire extinguisher because I expect a fire in my house, I don't lock my doors because I expect a break in, I don't have car, life or health insurance because I expect something bad to happen to me, it’s called being prepared for the unexpected, it's called common sense |
Wow, what a powerful commercial. Very well done.

I have to add my seatbelt story. I was stopped at a red light. First glance behind me, I see an 18 Wheeler coming over the hill and down towards me. He was going fast and I watched as he never touched his breaks and plowed right into me. Pushed me into a busy intersection, but I was not hit by anyone else as they saw it coming and got out of the way. I never wore a seatbelt back then, but about 1/2 mile before I got to that light, something told me to put it on and i did! The truck was loaded with wood chips. I wouldn't be here today if I didn't put that seat belt on when I did. Today, I put it on every time I get in the car. This was about 12 years ago in an Oldsmobile 98.
