:D Front Sway bar was almost a no go... holy crap we're both done... But the new one is now in and officially that sucked.. Long day... But we're still hangin in there. If we were asked to do it again... we could do it in about 5 hours... You learn so much after the first try. ;) |

That's the story of my modding experience on this car. I could cut the time in half easily to do them again. |

Long day for you guys - but it WILL all be worth it !!! ...now get back to work. :paddle: |

I was lucky...I had a team helping me out. We had coils, stainless brake lines, front sway bar, and rear sway bar done in 1.5 hours. Still need to get the radius and subframes done. But, shouldn't be that long. Now...leeettts see how long it takes to take them back off your car.... and install them on mine :D Quote:
|
just finished... the car looks great.. I'm done... got a couple small items to tidy up... that locking nut on the top of the coil is a beast to get back on... I need to run it on and off the old coil to loosen it up..
Car looks frackin awesome... cant really take a pic right now. Got some good video of the rear but we were too pushed for time to video to the front... :D I now have pedders dual adjustable supercar coilovers, sway bars, adjustable end links and some inserts on my car... :D  time for bed... :D |

I spent all day warning Chris that I would be laughing at him while he was trying to get the front bar out...but when it came time and he was under there trying to remember his geometry classes...I was too tired to give him a hard time. I groaned deeply and got my dumb-ass under the car and did battle with the front sway bar...I managed to do it this time without any blood blisters or scrapped knuckles... Chris...my only concern is that I found a bolt in my pocket when I got home last night. I'm not sure where it goes...but it has 'cleatus' stamped on the top... |

I would take that bet on all but the front sway bar. Lol. I was actually staring toward the motor mounts as I laid under the car. BUT I might win the bet because if I had to do it again right now, I'd cut the bar coming out. Geometry classes ............:bellyroll: |
Thanks very much... everyone... sorry we're weren't more interactive yesterday...
There is a lot that you need to have sorted out before you install these.. the inserts are pretty straight forward.. The rear sway isn't bad if your exhaust isn't in the way... The front sway is a kick in the.... :confused0068: The rear coils are by far the most difficult, if you really know what you are doing and have all the right tools it is a one man job... The hardest part on the front coils are those damn clevis bolts on the knuckles... Mossman was the key to us getting it done... he got the sway bars sorted out with a little very little help from me... :D My assessment. you absolutely can do this yourself .... Must have tools... BIG breaker bar. wrenches up to about 24 mm. Six side deep well 1/2 sockets up to 24MM... small to medium vice.... and an impact wrench is a HUGE help... Almost a necessity. If you've never done it before it's a two man job... Damn the car sits down nice a low :D Talk to you guys soon, trying to get it aligned today, we'll see. |

:iono: CMON CLEATUS!!!!!!! LMAO :bellyroll: |

crap, a crap-ton of money... I heard it took like ten minutes to install mine... but... the front clip wasn't in the car, and there was no motor on the clip, and....:D NVM...:bellyroll: i'm glad you got it done with no broken fingers... |

and at my bill rate to customers...well...let's just say you wouldn't want to pay me to install parts on your car!!! lol |

The spindle bolts were pretty fun huh????? |

:popcorn::popcorn: :thumbsup: |

And I only threw the billing deal out there since working in the oilfield, my rig is making about 280,000 per day, and when we go on subsea downtime, it figures out to over 10,000 dollars an hour... I hate those reports... and the phone calls, and the e-mails, and the visits from office dudes and dudettes, and visits to the blue room... etc... I just wish I was making that hourly rate... I'ld have................... something.. |
Today is alignment Sunday and TEST DRIVE Day!!!
Mossman -- helping out Chris, Very Cool. Staying through to the bitter end, PRICELESS. :respekt: |
Awesome job Chris and Moss !!!
Can't wait to see THR22 in all its lowered glory... |

And I'm looking forward to hearing about how the alignment went...and my first test ride post mods. However, I feel that ride may wind up inflicting substantial pain on my wallet. |

He'll learn it, but his driveway, though not too bad, can be a pain. If he goes much lower than me, he'll have to be REALLY careful. Quote:

Now I work for Diamond Offshore, no longer a service hand, and yes, it's universal that everybody from the newest galley hand to the Co-Reps know almost to the dollar the day rate for a rig, and how much of a percentage you loose if the soft ice cream maker goes out etc... It kills me that we have some equipment that we never ever use, but heaven help us if it gets on a report that it doesn't work, and the Co-Reps find out.... Oh Lord... |

Geez, Revo has his install pics posted already

I almost finished my rollcage cleanup/ whole interior rebuild before GTA installed his alignment LOL...
