Driving impressions? I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

First gear is useless at anything over 1/4 throttle. If you roll on the throttle above 4500 rpm
the tires will hook pretty good in second. Third gear you actually have time to listen to the sc wind out (better than sex). Sometimes you get a chirp as you hit fourth.
10 or 15 hp you may not be able to feel. But 50 you can feel. No doubt.

?? The ATI dampner and 10% OD pulley with belt is only $650. The whole kit is $1050 from Jannetty which includes the Roto-Fab CAI for about 75RWHP, which puts you right up there with the GT500 without tuning and voiding warranty. Where are you getting $2k?

Did the pulley alone open up the charger whine (louder)?

Yes. A very noticeable increase in volume. I have submitted both dyno runs out to Youtube. I will post the link as soon as it is available.

On the low end '13 gt500s are putting out 580s(So 550's is pretty damn close) and I cant believe that it doesnt void the warranty?!?! Thats freaking awesome! :headbang:

If you add in the cost of the cooler logic heat exchanger and pump it adds another $1000+

If I was looking to do this on the cheap, and the warranty wasn't an issue. I would have just spent $300 on a upper pulley kit and $500 on a tune, and had ~470rwhp for under a $1000. But this 8.6 pulley is just phase1. I have already purchased a 9.55 pulley and will have a custom race tune built for it. This way I can have the 8.6 to run around town (with 550rwhp) and ~600 at the track. In 15 minutes I can swap from the street setup to the race setup.
The hx and pump was upgraded to support the race setup, not the street setup.

How much work was involved to install the HX? Did you have to pull the front end apart and if so how long did install take?

You do have to remove the front clip. It took me about 3 hours from start to finish with a helper ( to help me handle the front clip)
