That is simply inexcusable.
They better not make you pay for it.

It's hard to get good help these days...

HOZAY 06-07-2010 08:05 PM

lmao. I find it hard to believe no one noticed that.

If they had told you,
"It's the new 2011 update for your Camaro!"

I would've cried laughing.

But no, in all seriousness, that's terrible. How in the HECK did they manage that?!

ron10 06-07-2010 08:07 PM

that is unbelievable.

Tam's Cam 06-07-2010 08:07 PM

I would be mad as hell. Especially not even getting an apology. :mad0260:
I hope all is well when you pick it up tomorrow!!

I just don't understand how this was left like that. WTH are people thinking?

WiccaJew 06-07-2010 08:09 PM

What the heck it looks like they pulled the bezel out when they put the light in. That is messed up. Make sure you take a CLOSE look at it when you pick it up to make sure they didn't try and bandage it. Look at it with the hood open and in every which way.!

Oh my god!

Similar thing happened to me when I had my last car. Had a private shop put a clutch in and when I got the car back the front right fender had 3 huge creases dents in it, looked AWFUL. When I tried to call the owner of the shop out on it and showed him it he claimed they dont even lean on that fender to put the clutch in and none of his guys did that. I put up a fuss and refused to leave until he finally agreed to pay my $500 deductible to get it fixed. I know that "feeling" you have and it sucks, I am sorry.

We all make mistakes (it's a human thing)
It's how we rectify our mistakes that make us stand out!!

I cannot believe you didn't get an appology!

I've been thinking about shit like this for quite a while - it makes me wonder if they can just give you the part under warranty and the option to fix it yourself. I can definitely do a better job than the damn dealership on stuff like this that requires patience and the overall attitude "LET'S NOT F THIS UP."

formuladan 06-07-2010 08:20 PM

Wow, that's just absolutely horrible. How in the world could they even think about returning the car to you in that condition. I've had my car for almost a year and it hasn't been back to the dealer since I took delivery. Unless something under warranty breaks it'll never see a service department.

Hope they fix it to your satisfaction.

OUTATIME 06-07-2010 08:29 PM

Not to scare you, but you know they took a shortcut once with your car - they'll probably do it again, even to fix their own mistake.

Make sure they didn't simply bend the plastic back into place - it'll never look right again.
