Thought you might be interested in my car history as it's probably a little different to what's available over your side of the Atlantic :)

Lotus Exige S1, BMW E46 M3 (pictured at the ring), Locost7 (w/ sequential 'box, pictured at Spa), Renaultsport Megane R26, Renaultsport Twingo, Mitsubishi Evo IV, and my first car a 1275cc Mini!

(plus a few boring ones I've ommited)

Plans for the Z/28 are definitely to take it to the Nurburgring and Spa Francorchamps! :burnrubber:

Some cool cars there Pat.

I am a fellow Brit living in Texas (been here 10 years) and grew up on a diet of mini coopers, hot hatches, lotus' and 3 TVR's (*******, Cerbera and Tuscan).

If you get over to Austin when you are in the US, you are welcome to come and have a blast in my Z/28. It is hands down the best car I have ever owned and I can only imagine the fun of having one in the UK.

At least one new '15 for $56K. Black, A/C, 26 mi. Autotrader.com Car id AT-18722F43. You can use the Keyword search in Advanced Search. Dealer is in Nashville, TN; about 2 day drive from NYC (~900 mi).

Good Luck. UK needs another immigrant.

Some sweet cars you have or have had over the years. Would love to hit the big tracks over there at least once in my life. 4 camaros in the drive right now and no track time yet..... Yet.

That's not physical in the UK, they import to order (and add their own margin on top).

I can do it for less myself, but was waiting to see if the £/$ shows any signs of a recovery in the next few weeks :(

Thanks for all the pointers everyone. In the meantime, I just picked this up this evening to keep me amused for the summer evenings:

Pat.
Get in touch with 'Specialised Shipping Services',regarding shipping your car from US dealer to port, onward across the Atlantic,by containerised shipping, then onward to their own IVA conversion, near Reading.
Say i sent you,if this is any help.
Regards Derek.

Pleased to update that I have sourced a car from a member on here!

In the end I compromised on colour in order to get a car in mint condition, only 1000 miles on the clock, with some modifications... ok.. it has 578 RWHP!! :headbang:

The £/$ exchange rate is still not doing me any favours, but I hope to send the final balance and arrange the shipping across the pond as soon as possible.

Thanks to all who took the time and commented. This forum is packed with useful info :)
cheers,
Patrick

Great news Patrick and congratulations! Now, please stay with us as I'd personally love to see more info on its arrival and more importantly, it's new home and what you do with it.
