SCPA5 First meet 2016
 

It's FINALLY getting that time of year where the snow is melting and the car covers are coming off! It's time for our first official event SCPA5 of 2016. Here are the details:

When: April 16th
Where: Quaker Steak and Lube 1411 Kenneth Rd York, PA 17408 followed by caravaning to Stillmeadow church of the nazerene for their car show
What time: 1:00 pm running until you want to go home or the Stillmeadow show finishes up (no later than 7:00 pm)

All Camaro generations are welcome to attend as well as other Camaro friendly car guys (DRKS1D3 bring your 'Vette buddy!). The Stillmeadow show has trophies for 1st and 2nd place for a variety of categories including a 2000+ category that was swept many times by SCPA5 members last year. Hope to see a lot of you there!

Also, unofficially for the group, there is a show on April 9th in Manchester, PA (near Mt. Wolf) that is just down the street from Thornton Chevrolet. It is the Motor Menders Rod & Custom show that was at Red Robin at the Galleria Mall last year and Sonic in Red Lion the year before. The address is 117 South Main St. Manchester, PA. It starts at 4PM and runs until 8PM if anyone is interested in attending.

Count me in! I plan to be at both.

I would like to make both, but I'll definitely see you guys at our first meet on April 16.

Also SCPA5 is a official club with GM Nationals this year.

Very cool! I really want to make it to GM Nationals this year and now it sounds like we got things rolling.

Looking at the Carlisle Events page I cannot find SCPA5 as a group option to register with. What are we listed as?

If you can brave the cooler weather, Motor Menders is having their first show this Saturday starting at 4pm at the Bobcat Creamery 117 South Main St. Manchester, PA. This is about a block down the road from Thornton Chevrolet for reference.

That would be fun; however, I'm showing a 50% chance of a frozen mix on Saturday. :frown: I guess we'll wait and see what happens.

Yeah they keep bouncing the frozen mix stuff between Friday-Saturday-Sunday. Any way you slice it, it's not exactly top down kind of weather. :thumbdown: I thought this was spring already!

Winter is holding on with everything it has, it just won't give up.
