Thanks to Scotty for all the help in finding me a dealer with current allocations.

My order went in today for 2SS RS SIM M6 w. Orange Rally Stripes and accented interior. The only other option I wanted was the sunroof and polished wheels.

I was about to pull the plug and buy the exact car from someone with 200 miles on it but I think part of the euphoria in getting one of these is going through the entire process and having it built just for you.

Let the countdown begin. I am hoping for 6-7 weeks for delivery considering my ordering dealer is close to the Canadian border and gets cars via truck without any rails or other storage delays.

With this being said - what is the best method to begin the tracking on the car and to follow through to shipping? I dont want to call the dealer all the time to keep asking about it but will be fairly anxious to follow the progress. The dealer did tell me it would go 2000 tomorrow morning and proceed from there.

And don't forget, as soon as my powerball ticket pays big, I'll be buying that 1969 from you!!!! Hang on to it!

Ok Scotty - once you win you let me know and we can talk. There is a nice real ZL1 on ebay now for $575k. Believe it or not, in today's market that is actually a good price being that most real ZL1's were selling for upwards of $1m within the not too distant past. Reggie Jackson's rebodied ZL1 recently sold at Mecum for over $300k - pretty crazy considering that the car really is not a ZL1 any longer and the current body of it was a junk yard pull.

With the ordering of this car, I have now owned at least one of every generation of Camaro !! The SIM & Orange will look good with the Hugger Orange COPO.
