So close but yet so far for me - it's having an alignment done this morning, and then all that's left is for the roll control to be hooked up, then tuning is happening later today - I'm picking it up tomorrow morning - the anticipation is unbearable haha!

So I got the car back today - I've not really stop smiling since! :D

I'll post a video when I get chance and a photo of the Dyno graph - on a mustang dyno made 701rwhp and 670 TQ :)

She's certainly a handful now!!

Oh, and of course I'm never actually finished with this car so some more parts have been ordered.... :lol:

So here's a quick video I took last night - we'll be changing back to an LSA throttle body and lowering the idle a touch in a couple of weeks, along with changing out to an aftermarket exhaust - so the sound will be changing again soon enough, but for the time being this is the sound my neighbors are going to be hating haha... :lol: ...myself on the other hand....I can't stop smiling!! :headbang: :D

What aftermarket exhaust are you going with?

Ermmmm...:scared0016:...well, you see, I had no choice because the stock one I have is falling apart, and with the Cam the Dual Mode doesn't work because of the vacuum changes, and in the aftermarket our options are limited...sooooo... :lol:

I do promise you that I listened to all the available options and didn't just copy you though even though it must seem like I am lately.. :thumbdown: ....but when all is said and done the Corsa IS the best option for us....the Magnaflow Matt told me was crazy loud and the Corsa is more refined....I wanted the more refined....although I am running without Cats so it will still sound different to yours I bet.

I have got it with polished tips not black though like yours also so it will look different too.

And my next Mod is something completely custom.....well, I say next mod but it depends on the quote I get haha :lol:

I have some new Painted ZL1 badges coming too, CFM and Kandy Electric Blue...plus having the calipers powdercoated by Mike, so the look of my car will be changing a fair bit in the next couple of months :D

So my latest modifications arrived through the post today....courtesy of Lupe....changing all the badges from Chrome and Red to Carbon Flash Metallic and Electric Kandy Blue, and also adding a white bowtie to my wheel center caps....

Well Corsa was more refined when all I had was a Catback and no headers and probably quieter than stock. Add headers and cam and Corsa turns into a beast. Same thing with my SS. The Hennessy guys who installed it couldn't believe how quiet it was. I can't imagine Magnaflow being any louder LOL. I'm glad you said what you did about the dual mode because I was thinking maybe I should have kept it on so I could close it up sometimes.

Lupe does a great job on the badges. I had all mine painted black and then went to him later for bowties. Should have hit him up in the beginning. I've actually been thinking of just removing Camaro from the side.

Oh well I guess I can expect to be continuing to annoy my neighbors then haha! :lol: Got word from Matt that my Corsa arrived on Friday so now I just need to schedule a time to fit it.

If the dual mode on the stock one continued to work properly after the cam I would have kept it for sure - I always liked the idea of it being quieter on the highway when cruising - but it just sounded weird to me after the cam lol - one minute quiet the next loud - not really working as designed haha!

So at that point I thought I'd rather change things up and get a slightly deeper sound (I think it will be anyway lol) - plus I liked the bigger tips over stock that the corsa will give me :)

And I'm really pleased with the badges - I've been wanting to change them to black and blue for a while but held off until I knew I was getting my calipers powdercoated - that's now also scheduled - getting them done in Intense blue :)

And then I'm also booked in to have the underhood ZL1 indentation airbrushed black and blue - as it won't look right with the red if everything else is black and blue lol - thinking on that though I'm going to have it airbrushed to look 3D - and maybe have the 1 in a blue carbon fiber look - just to give it something different

Oh boy... I hate to say this but it won't be deeper. It was that way without headers but after it's much higher pitched. BaylorCamaro has stock catback w/ headers and we did a comparison video. The good news is you will be able to cruise quietly in 6th gear at 80mph. No drone Corsa is nice.

I've also been trying to figure something out under the hood. My wife keeps hinting and giving me ideas for some paint around the logo.

Oh dear lol - well I guess worst case scenario I'll just put the old one back on and sell the Corsa if I don't like the sound - the videos I've seen I've really liked the sound but I guess videos mean nothing really - only way I'll really know is using my own ears! :lol:

Are you a fan of it though, or would you go a different route knowing what you know now?

I really like it... Had Corsa on two previous SS's. It really has the best sound of all of them at idle with a Cam. But give it some gas on the highway and it yells pretty loud at you with Corsa..:smiling1:

The Corsa is the best sounding for the ZL1 IMO.

Also picked up my new car show display stand last week from www.carshowdisplay.com (member 01pewterz28 on here) - very happy with how that came out and will be using it for the first time at a show tomorrow :headbang: - gonna have to update it for my new badge mind you but thats OK as get free changes for 12 months (just pay materials which is $15 i think ) :)

You have such a beautiful ZL1. I've been planning to start my build this winter and I was looking at a lot of things you have done so seeing this has definitely given me ideas and clarification. Much respect.

So, as you know a few weeks ago I changed out all of the ZL1 emblems on my car to Black and Blue

Anyway, that left me with an issue....on the underhood ZL1 indentation I previously had a decal that was silver and red to match stock badging, but after changing the emblems that of course looked out of place.

However, rather than just get another decal made up in black and blue I decided to do something a little bit more unique....so I spoke with Chris Cruz who does amazing airbrush work, explained what I wanted and here is the result....only a little touch but I'm really pleased with how it came out...and the quality of his work is amazing.

It's been a while... Definitely loving the new changes since last time I was here. I got to ride in Mlee's ZL1 so I have an idea of what your car can do without the meth. I do love the black/blue emblems. One of my favorite color combos. ;)

If I was able to find a white one with a carbon insert and manual transmission, I think we'd have twin cars.

I just looked at the photos you posted of yours and all I can say is WOW! Beautiful Car - that photo with the non-stock wheels is unbelivable!

As for mine - the next Mod will be getting installed this coming Thursday - full 3" Corsa Exhaust - I'll make sure to get some good before and after sound clips :)

So I got the Corsa exhaust installed last week - definitely a little bit louder now! (if that was possible haha) :D
