Wiring question

Hello, I am installing a cobra 29 ltd nightwatch cb radio in my car. It require a 12 vlt source. Is it possible to wire it to the passenger seat's electrics? Please no comments on why I am putting a cb in my car. I need one.

Why not tie into one of the power outlets? Or run an extra wire to the fuse panel on the driver side end of the dash.

DO NOT mess with the seats. You will set off an airbag, which is not only dangerous but expensive.

With the driver side door open, pop off the trim piece on the side of the dash, there are three tabs.

Fuses 17 and 18 are KEYED sources (power is only on when the key is in the ACC or ON position). Place an appropriately sized fuse in the back of a fuse tap. Wire the fuse tap to the HOT/power wire on the CB. Place the fuse tap in fuse 17 or 18. Wire the ground to the frame bolt. It is located in the same compartment near the fuse box toward the front of the car.

Hope this helps!
