Aftermarket Exhaust rattle
 

After installing the magnaflow 2.5 comp series cat-back exhaust, I have had a rattle that's coming from the plate that goes back after install. The plate sits in the middle of where the resonator was on my L99. It only hits the plate when I hit a bump in the road. I put a few spacers under the plate which did the trick for awhile, but it's starting to come back. I am going to loosen the whole set up and put a wood block bt the plate and exhaust, retighten, and then remove block this weekend( advice from magnaflow). Hopefully thus will fix it

I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience, advice, or input for me. Also thoughts on removing the plate (is it necessary to have?) thanks in advance!

Happened to me at first. I loosened everything up, repositioned, and tightened everything down. No issues since.

My SLP set up instructs to leave the plate off, Just use the bolts to secure the heat shield.
