In short, Ford's claim of 540 horsepower at the flywheel is conservative. This mill is comfortably cranking out something north of 570 horsepower on the possum urine they call California 91 octane "premium" fuel. That's no small feat

thats stout!!!! looks like with small bolt ons (pulley, headers, tune, etc.) these cars will be over 600rwhp with ease.

Alot of power from the OVAL!!! Very impressive!!!
That is where I want my 2SS around 520rwhp.

MrIcky 06-11-2009 10:01 AM

That's solid, damn.

Very nice ... If I could afford it I would be in one of these :) .. Unfortunately they have moved out of my price range ..

It still seems the core powertrain and S\C are the same as the '09, meaning that 600hp is about the max for that particular S\C without an upgrade. Lots of other goodies on it too, like upgraded suspension, interior, and body lines. Really raising the bar, but I want to see what '11 and '12 have in store…...

Nice car, but I'm confident it's well outside of my price range.

On a Mustang Dyno, no less, which are known to read lower than their DynoJet counterparts.

Nice numbers, i love when any car is underrated pretty cool it's like finding change in your seat :)

MuscleCarz 06-11-2009 11:03 AM

It says Dynojet in the article and their website shows they use Dynojet also.

I'm just assuming they are using SAE since they are comparing their #'s with Fords SAE #'s.
