Why

Last night I was at a cruise spot that some members of the club like to hang at. As we are hanging out talking about what ever this black camaro pulls in the parking lot and it sounded just mean we were like wow this car is a beast. So as it pulls up to us I see it has the ls rims on it no big deal as it looks and sounded mean. So we walk over there to check it out the guy change out the front grills to make it look like a SS. And yes it had the SS badges on it I just had to walk away nice guy but why would anyone do that. I think he would got away with it if he had diffrent rims on it and never open the door to see in side. Have any off you guys seen this before. And what are your thoughts on it.

This is where all the talk from the Mustang guys talking smack about how they smoked an SS with their stock '07 GT comes from.

If it's a V6, then how could it have sounded mean? :yikes:

Haha, no really. You couldn't tell from how it sounded that it was a V6? :iono:

I hate when people badge a basic car with fakes. If u didnt buy an SS thsts ok, be proud of ur v6. Being a fake just makes u look stupid.

I agree. I am very proud of my V6 and it's 323 hp. I have no plans of trying to fake it up.

it could have been ss with ls rims. some people do that for the winter as its better in the snow?
the only way to tell is to have him pop the hood.

PoorMansCamaro 11-03-2011 08:21 AM

i will now badge my car as a SS, just to spite you all. Muahahahahaha

CAPT D 11-03-2011 08:21 AM

Because he knew he would fool most people, who know nothing about these cars. I would have at least asked him to pop the hood, then I would have walked away.
