10.5 IN. WIDE WHEELS ON THE REAR QUESTION?

2 Attachment(s)
I have a 2010 SS that I will soon be running 10.5 in. wide wheels in the rear with 295/35/19 tires. My question is, if you are running the 10.5 width wheels, what offset are you running & do they stick out past the fender lips? Also photo's would be great.

Thanks so much for all your help. :iono:

At the moment I have 20x10.5 + 35 on the rear with 315/35/20's and they are dead nuts even with the fenders, deep concave rims. Sorry don't have a pic, but I have new rims sitting here to go on the car and the rears are 20x11.5 + 30 deep concave Feradda FR3's and they might poke out just a tad like the 1LE's.

Offset is +23/43 20x10 and 20x11 1LE. Front poke out more than rear on my car imo. I ordered a MRR FS05 set19x10 and 19x11. Planning to run 295 all around. Car really lost grip when I used 315 35 20 and 285 front...no traction gain on dig too. Way too big of a tire to me. I am a fan od smaller tires now for better gearing and less weight.

What wheel companies and tire size do you guys recommend? I'm thinking of running an 18x10.5 from apex racing. looking to do a lot of SCCA autocross/roadcourse events with these and have them as a set of track wheels.

Our EC-7 in 18x10.5" ET27 or SM-10 in 18x10.5" ET22 are both good options when paired with 305/35-18 tires. This rotatable setup offers excellent brake clearance and fits under the factory fenders.

Below is a car with 11" wide wheels with an ET25 offset, which will sit about the same as a 10.5" ET22 would.

Unfortunately I only have these renderings done up on a 6th gen. The 19" SM-10 group buy just ended so none of them out in the wild yet. The pre-sale is still going on however for some good savings!

I'm really not a fan of how the SM-10 looks in renderings, just something about it in the flesh is so much better.

For autocross and roadrace 18” are pushing it. Scar ape on everything if you are lowered for handling, and if you get any long straights you can run out of gear in 2nd.All of us out here in so cal use 19”

Really? That’s crazy! What gears you guys running? Currently I have a 3.45 and I was thinking of going to a 3.73.

3.45. With our manual gearbox Going from stock 20” wheel and tire diameter to 19” and 305/30/19 is similar to going to a 3.78 rear gear. Short autocross courses no problem going to more rear gear, out here we get some long straights thankfully😃
