Looks like it will be time to trade in haha.

If this is true of course.

Can you say Z28?

1.6T is apparently going into Verano next year. I wasn't aware of that but...all right.

It'll permeate its way into more cars soon. Malibu and Equinox are both slated to receive it.

u got any dirt on this thing??? it was announced around the same time as the LT1 but no legit info on it that ive seen. no platform info other than it being tested in a cts

CTS and XTS are the first applications I believe. And it was one of the two choices for the ATS-V engine. The decision has been made, just nobody outside Engineering really knows (pretty sure it's the LF3).

Well.... Guess im gonna have to upgrade...

the LS7 is a great engine, but it does have siamese cylinders. Does anyone know how it holds up to the LS3? I know stock it blows it away but how does the LS7 like boost?

Question is what will this cost, Z06 is much more expensive than a ZL1...think about that...

v8 12-20-2012 06:37 PM

It will probably be priced below the Zl1, by how much I don't know, may even be pretty close.

I've heard GM tried using it for forced induction and the engine blew up...

I just checked for price of new Crate LS7 is double the cost of the LS3, so add at least $8k on the price of a new Camaro....that's a lot of money for 80 more HP....

v8 12-20-2012 06:42 PM

Ya, I mean I would love to have one, but the thing is, this is probably the perfect car for someone who will never modify it. It will no doubt perform great stock. Its probably a Z28 and it will be a 1LE with the LS7.

huggercamaro21 12-20-2012 06:42 PM

I'm thinking 1LE+LS7=Z28. Sounds good.
