Final Word: ALL Stripes Factory Installed?
 
I remember some time ago a discussion about ALL the stripe packages being moved to "Factory Installed". Did this ever go through. Are all of them factory installed now or just CGM and White stripes still?

mine still show LPO dealer installed option... I ordered the Black stripes..

Black stripes here too.

Hmm, alright.... does anyone know how LONG it will take the dealer to install them???

I want my car the DAY IT ARRIVES damn it!

Also, what happened to all stripes going factory installed??? Anyone know?

We've gotten the following, but with no RPO codes are yet available, it should be considered tentative.

Hmm ok. I sure hope they are factory installed... I don't want to wait however many days it will take the dealer to install them....

Your guess is as good as mine. The Hurst short throw shifter which has been a dealer installed LPO option from the beginning, and has recently been changed to RPO factory install, is showing on a Feb. 27th accessories document as not available until Q3. So, it appears these changes that appear simple to us, take GM a long time to get incorporated. :mad0259:

Keep an eye on THE MOTHER OF ALL THREADS ABOUT STRIPE PACKAGES!!!! Hylton will update it with the RPO codes as soon as they are released.

Depends if you (or the dealer) ordered them as RPO or LPO ;)

CGM was available as both from the very beginning.

i ordered CGM stripes because they look good and they were factory, but if they offer black stripes from factory i will just have to switch i think the black will look better

Cant find any pics of IOM with CGM

From what I've been told, my LPO stripes will not be factory installed.

Even though we've been told that most stripes are changing to RPO factory install, for now, as before, only the CGM (B7W) and White (B7X) Rally Stripes are factory installed on the 2LT and 2SS trims ONLY. And these are no longer available LPO. On LS, 1LT and 1SS all stripes are still available as LPO dealer installed.
Plus we don't know if the additional factory installed stripes will be expanded to more trims than just the 2LT and 2SS as now.
