So how many got Pulled over?

Starting a thread on how many of us got pulled over and ticketed on their way there or going home, maybe even while being there.

Me I got 1 going home right before the border line!

Milk 1027 04-17-2011 09:02 PM

I know an IOM got pulled over in our caravan on Thursday.

One of the Vegas people got pulled over on the way to dinner right in front of me, for some BS. (42 in a 45 lmao).

And there is a rumor about an arrest, Thursday evening.

JM10 04-17-2011 09:13 PM

I got pulled over by a border patrol officer before going back to Mexico (they ask if you have guns and ammo or over 10K in cash:facepalm:).

I told him about the camaro fest in PHX, he then told me that he has a 2011 mustang stock that runs 12.70s....

2010 SSRS 04-17-2011 09:14 PM

damn cops, lol

Inferno LSX 04-17-2011 09:18 PM

They let the IOM and white wheels go from what I heard. That's why I have a V1, and it was useful.

Yeah, I talked to him later. He was let go, but we were all traveling in a group. He could've pulled anyone over.

Autobots 04-17-2011 09:23 PM

I also herd of the arizona cops giving out tickets to ppl with color halos

masterwinning 04-17-2011 10:04 PM

Well doesn't that just scream, "come on back, we'd love to have you guys again next year". I am not proposing to ignore the laws, but for colored halos and a few miles over or under the speed limit.

Cabrera 04-18-2011 01:55 AM

I got a freaking ticket.... 79 mph just 5 minutes before Blythe in Cali..

Icntdrv55 04-18-2011 08:57 AM

We had one on our group heading back to Co (Camaro Club Of the Rockies, CCOTR) just outside Phoenix. Motorcycle cop said he clocked him over 100MPH from an overpass. We through the BS flag on that. we were only going 85. Cop picked off the last one in the bunch, just like a lion pickining off the smallest Zebra! Cop was a real D!@&*. Said "tell your buddies this aint no race track and that he would have pulled us all over but then he would have to call his boss and its not worth the trouble". Did write him up for 85 in a 65 and said it was a madatory court appearance. Must have been a Ford owner. Story to continue........................

Now, when we were in NM and decided to "strectch our legs" well into the triple digets and a highway patrol was going the other way and clocked at least 5-7 of us well over XXX, he just kept driving. Must have been a chevy owner!

ud_lose 04-18-2011 09:26 AM

I was soooo sweating that last one. I know I was over XXX. Nothing like driving and looking in the rearview more then out the windshield for 20 miles. Lol

(I'm sorry for my actions and do not condone this behavior.)

I never realized it, but some states have laws that the cops have to be stationary to clock people. I found out working in PA, that is the case there. Maybe that was the same situation:iono:

SSFury 04-18-2011 09:55 AM

Wow. Dodged a bullet on that one. I know the car will do it, but the risk is just too great for me. But individual choice is that, left to the individual. Glad you didnt get nabbed by 5-0.

MARINE1991 04-18-2011 10:24 AM

Passed alot of cops on the way home, kept the cruise control on 80....

FRIDAY1313 04-18-2011 10:46 AM

I was driving thru the Grand Canyon and Forest Ranger Rick pulled me over 64 in 45! He said one more mile over he would have wrote me a ticket! Forest Ranger Rick had Radar WOW I could not believe my eyes! Well at least no ticket and he asked why he seen a lot of Camaros? I said big meeting in Phoenix must have been a Chevy Ranger!

You know I had to put that in there.

Atti2de 04-18-2011 11:48 AM

Two of our Five almost did. They were running in front of us on a corner going down an hill prob around 80mph in a 65. the police officer came out of his hiding spot getting ready to enter the hiway of the hill he was parked on:paddle: When we came around the corner staggered in both lanes :yikes:

He hit his brakes as we hit ours as we all merged got into the fast lane giving him a lane. he followed for a bit but decided 5 against one was not fair :)

Nexus6 04-18-2011 12:04 PM

A$$hole sheriff patrol in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana, pulled me over and gave me a ticket for 80 n a 70. He's worse than a d*ck, he's a dild*.

ZoMBiE_KMF 04-18-2011 12:47 PM

They "let him go" out of professional courtesy as he is a sworn officer. In fact the chippy that got him literally mumbled under his breath something to the effect "oh sh*t, i pulled over the wrong one"!

As for me, I learned my lesson coming back from Dual in the Desert last year. 103mph cost me $3,500 so far :mad0259:

We definitely were all XXX+ at one point getting on in Cabazon because I was going XXX and flying and got passed by Haddad Motorsports G8 . The funniest part of that is when I fly past a Civic who was in the slow lane and hear someone on the radio say "Guys, are we allowed to drive this fast?" and all of a sudden brake lights and Camaro's scattering all over to not hit each other or the traffic that we caught up to :sm0:

 We did have a blast heading to the Fest!! I don't know how many times I hit triple digits. I remember flying by Haddad's car only to get over and have that white one blow by me. :D

Haha we sure did...I hit triple digits a few times just trying to stay caught up with everyone only to have everyone hit their brakes when I finally made it up there  Was that you racing the G8 when we got on at Cabazon?

I would never "race". :D I wouldn't call what we were doing as racing, it was just spirited acceleration. I do think Haddad did race someone else though. I didn't want to get too out of line and take anymore chances than I already did.

Looking forward to knocking a few more beers back with you sometime. :) It was great meeting you bud.

Of course not lol racing is saved for the drag strip

Spirited acceleration is a perfect term to describe it...or "Badass!!"

It was great meeting you too man and hopefully Ben gets a BBQ setup in Fresno for this summer and we can get some of the Nor Cal people and Bakersfield people to head there as somewhat of a C5FestII mini-reunion...

Sounds like a plan. I'll be there, but I have a feeling I'll need to rent a room and stay overnight since I'm sure there will be alcohol involved. :D

As will I lol. I know not a lot of the Fresno people usually drink but I brought a bit of "Bakersfield" to the Fest and they were breaking from their norm for the weekend :D

I will say that the Cali group and Texas boys did more than their fair share of alcohol consumption. :D
