please comment on my custom cam specs...

got a cam specd from pat G. its a mild turbo cam but ill be driving with it installed without turbos for a while. you think it'll be well mannered for some road course and street abuse until i go turbo (or stroked for that matter )? its on the new PG352 lobes too. figured id give em a shot.

224/228 .598/.598" 116LSA +1

thanks

It's decent , are you auto or manual?

forklord 02-11-2015 12:09 AM

Manual. This tsp cam has no low rpm manners at all. Pissing me off. Hopefully this will help stock or FI

He spec'd me a 226/232 112LSA +4. Mine drives AMAZINGLY well. Yours is smaller, with a wider LSA so it will drive even better!

You should really be happy with that.

Yeah, a blower cam is setup completely different than a turbo cam. Did you originally plan on a blower? It could be your tune as well. What are the specs on the TSP cam?

I'm rocking a 221/230 with .596/.600 on a 116+4 and it sounds good at idle it chops a little but anything over 900 rpm is smooth sailing and its a torquey cam. Lost 10hp but gained 45ft-lbs from prior cam (236/246 .648/.648 110lsa) I freaking love it. (Still naturally aspirated btw)

Exactly!!!

I love my small torquey little cam that drives like stock.

No interest in these larger top end HP cams.

Well it's not a ls3 anymore...
It's an lsx454
With the big cam it laid 480ft-lbs/515hp
With the ls9 cam it made 485ft-lbs/485hp
With my custom grind it made 525ft-lbs/505hp

All on a mustang dyno with I believe 3800lbs resistance on the roller.

I don't know what half this means. I guess its what its like trying to understand a foreign language for the first time. Does anything in that post translate to all the torques - as low as possible? /endthreadjack
