Taurus sho

Anybody ran one. Guy at work has one and wants to race me. It's a twin turbo ecoboost v6.
It's also tuned.

GossipSquirrelJelena 09-02-2017 10:13 PM

Tune is huge on turbo cars. If your stock he could edge you out if your not on your game.

StingrayblueSS 09-02-2017 10:53 PM

I have headers, intake, ported throttle body and tune but no track experience.

Gunmetal Speedster 09-03-2017 03:37 AM

He is 365 at the crank, assuming the tune made up for any drivetrain loss let's keep the 365 number to the wheels. You should be 430 to the wheels if you're LS3, 390-400 if you're L99. They are very heavy too. If you lose, I'd say he beat you, not the car. Should be a close one either way, especially if he has the driver mod. Good luck :headbang:

Thanks, he definitely has more experience and his cars all wheel drive also. So it's not a sure thing.
He said he ran a 12.7 last time he was at the track.

Driver's race for sure here. He's awd so he has that edge. The launch and top end power will be the rule of this race. Good luck!

Concentrate on your launch.....better to not blow off the tires against an awd. He will get the jump regardless. But you should out trap him. He is 12.7 but likely 105 or 106 mph. So work on catching him on the big end.

Ecoboost SHO's are easy to make fast.

ZED SLED 09-05-2017 09:09 AM

...and he has the advantage of after the race, of stopping on the way home to pick up some groceries.

My camaro has made many grocery store trips! :twitch:

I've ran a tuned one. Dig he will have a huge advantage and pull probably around 1-2 cars but you will catch him. Roll, its all you

L99CAMA2011 11-25-2017 02:21 PM

You're toast. I saw a video of one beating a 5.0.

StingrayblueSS 11-25-2017 02:40 PM

Well he blew his transmission up so we'll never know.
Pos ford for ya

Take him to a track. You will smoke him. He will get you straight track. They handle like a tank in the curves.
