Free boost modification

How many guys have done the bypass boost modification on their LSA engine where you slightly tilt your supercharger bypass valve counter clockwise to seal in boost a little better?

That is very interesting, thank you for letting us know. Is there a down side to going this ?

nivek 03-05-2015 08:17 AM

Thanks for the info. That is something simple and definitely worth trying.

If there is a slight opening as it comes from the factory, could it be intentional, and if so, what was the reason??

why not simply adjust the set screw?

Great question, I was wondering that too

Just did it normally my boost swings between 7.83 - 8.55psi

Tonight I saw it hit 9.57psi and it was generally above 8.7psi usually sitting at 8.99 - 9.28psi

I also didn't undo the first bolt simply loosened the other 2 on the adjustment made sure i left 0.5 to 1mm clearance from the set screw.

I guess you do not adjust the set screw because it is harder to get to.
