American Racing Headers Installed! WOW!

I finally picked up a set of American Racing Headers, installed them yesterday, and I can not believe the difference going from Shorty headers to long tubes! Talk about money well spent! The exhaust in in your face loud and the added power is amazing. I currently have a stock V8 catback installed because of the larger 2.5" pipes, Injen long tube CAI, Trifecta tune and MRT V2's. I plan to add the ARH X-pipe and mid pipes as soon as I can get the funds for them. If anyone is debating on getting a set of LT's... just buy them! Posted below the videos is a photo comparison of the ARH LT's and Doug Thorleys.
:whitevertshift:Video have been recorded on my iPhone 4 and posted in HD. I think posting the videos in HD makes the sound quality a lot better!

I really wish I can take a LT v6 for a drive to feel the difference myself -___-....enjoy the new headers!

Sounds great, LT headers are on my list of future mods.

Let me understand this. You have a v6, just installed new headers, and have a set of v8 catback exhaust correct?

KMPrenger 01-17-2012 11:58 AM

Basically he is saying he is using the 2.5" mid pipes from the SS. The exhaust is MRT.

thanks. The reason I asked is because I found a set of headers on sale at summit last week for 100 bucks off thier scratch and dent table and bought them. I went back the next day and on the same table is a set of borla exhaust system for a 2010 v8. Now if that exhaust system will work on those header I need to get myself back to summit. Will this work for my v6?

I picked up a stock V8 catback from an SS because the pipes are 2.5" as compared to the 2.25" on a V6. I think all V8 catbacks will fit a V6.

Thanks. Because if this exhause will work then I need to go get them. I don't want to buy them if they won't work. I'm not the smartest book on the self nor the dumbest, just some things I'm not sure of. I was a big rig mechanic for years and hardly did anything with gas engines, but an engine is an engine. I'm also more old school opposed to all this computer operated stuff these days.

It will work. All the mounting points for exhaust are common. Although, if you have a vert, I think you need one made specifically for the vert since they have extra bracing and the exhaust needs to be routed a little differently.

Thank you. I believe Imma heading to summit when I get off of work today. IF the set is still there I will pick them up. worse case I can just re-sell them to someone if any trouble arises.
